Hi, I am writing a testimonial for Lauren Barton Sherman. In full disclosure, I am her mom. However, if i didn't believe she was a responsible pet owner or caregiver, I'd say so. That's how invested I am in the care of all furbabies. I am also a pet sitter and take the job very seriously. First and foremost, Lauren grew up with animals. Our home started out with cats from the time our girls were very young. At an age appropriate time for the girls, our family rescued a schnauzer/terrier mix named Ralphie. Lauren and her sister were taught how to approach and how not to approach an animal (mainly dogs), and especially how to gain their trust before trying to pet them. Lauren helped with feeding, refreshing water, walking, grooming, etc. until she left for college. After college, she and her roommate had an English bulldog, Butters, a cat named Puff and eventually a lab named Bulleit. On many occasions Lauren would leave work at lunch to drive home and care for the pups if her roommate wasn't available to help. As you can guess many walks or going outside to "get business taken care of" was done in freezing temps and snow. Nothing would deter her from caring for her pups. Lauren began dog-sitting for friends which has continued throughout the 18 years she has been in Colorado. Breeds have included more Labs, Goldens, Dachshunds, Frenchies, Great Pyrenees, many mixed breeds and a myriad of cats. She has tended to pets during times of illness and is experienced with administering medication. It is with utmost confidence that I recommend Lauren as an excellent sitter for Rover.

Lauren may be new to Rover, but she has been my giddy babysitter/walker for over 2 years now. Having her allowed me to go on vacations relaxed, work long hours or literally anything that took me out of the house for extended periods. She is professional, kind and passionate about her love for our furry babies. Lauren has become a dear friend to me at this point, but the reason I'm writing this review is because there is absolutely nobody else I could feel more comfortable watching over my furry baby. If you have anxiety about strangers, for whatever this is worth, put your concerns to rest with this gem of a human.
