Pet care experience

10+ Years of Trusted Pet Care

I’ve been caring for animals for more than 10 years, beginning with dog walking and pet sitting for neighbors, friends, and family as a teenager. Since then, I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, rescues, and pets with medical or behavioral needs. I currently work at a pet supply store, where I continue learning about pet nutrition, enrichment, training, and wellness. Outside of work, I’ve spent the past several years involved with rescue animals, giving me experience with dogs of many different temperaments and backgrounds. My own pets have taught me just as much. I previously cared for my beloved senior cat through kidney disease, arthritis, and dementia, so I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring changes in health, and providing compassionate senior and hospice-style care. I’ve also successfully managed dogs with fear-based aggression, giving me a strong understanding of canine body language, positive reinforcement, and how to safely build trust with anxious or reactive dogs. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking partner, medication, extra patience, enrichment, or simply a calm and dependable companion while you’re away, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you complete peace of mind.

House Sitting • Aug 07, 2026

This was my first time leaving my year old Malti poo with anyone and I sure hit the jackpot with Lauren! Wow. She went above and beyond any expectation.. She was on time stayed at my home the entire time. She kept me updated all day with photos and videos.. She is sweet as can be. I’ve never imagined not worrying constantly while away from my baby but I felt more than comfortable from the moment meeting Lauren more so Frankie was more than comfortable with her… I was worried he would want to go home with her: ) Shd spoiled my baby .. I hope she will become our regular sitter whenever we need to go out of town..I would highly recommend Lauren..

Schedule

I currently work flexible part-time hours at a pet supply store and am also an online student, which gives me a schedule that is easy to work around your pet’s needs. Whether your pet needs walks, drop-in visits, overnight care, or medication on a consistent schedule, I’m happy to accommodate whenever possible. I believe pets thrive on routine, and I do my best to keep their schedule as close to normal as possible while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I live in a quiet villa in Naples with my friendly rescue dog and three indoor cats. Every pet is introduced thoughtfully and separated when appropriate, ensuring everyone feels safe and comfortable. I’m experienced caring for senior pets, rescues, anxious dogs, and pets with medical needs. Having cared for my own cat through kidney disease, arthritis, and dementia, and having worked extensively with rescue dogs and fear-based behaviors, I understand the importance of patience, reading body language, and following each pet’s individual routine. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, I’ll treat them like one of my own.

Pets

A typical day

Every pet is different, so I tailor each day to their personality, energy level, and routine. Active dogs can enjoy walks, sniffaris, enrichment games, puzzle toys, play sessions, or trips to nearby parks if approved by you. More relaxed or senior pets can enjoy gentle walks, plenty of cuddles, brushing, and quiet companionship. Cats receive just as much attention through play, enrichment, brushing, lap time (if they enjoy it), and keeping litter boxes and feeding areas clean. I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and well cared for.

Please let me know about your pet’s daily routine, feeding schedule, medications, allergies, favorite toys, commands, triggers, fears, or anything else that helps them feel comfortable. I especially appreciate knowing if your pet has any medical conditions, anxiety, reactivity, escape tendencies, or behavioral quirks so I can provide the safest and most personalized care possible. The more I know beforehand, the better I can make your pet feel at home.
