I have worked with animals my entire life in both a casual and professional setting. As a teenager I worked with horses, dogs, and cats on a farm providing training and medical care. I have also worked professionally as an animal caretaker in the Frederick/Montgomery County area with many clients including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rodents, chickens, ducks, and pigs. I have experience with animals who have specialized needs including medical care and behavioral issues.

Safety is a top priority of mine. I always ensure I am aware of my surroundings both in the home and on walks. I respect each animal as unique and independent and take the time to ensure not only that I am providing them with lots of love but that I get to know them and their quirks in order to provide them the best care possible.

Kind, detailed, and consistent with her updates, Lauren took such good care of our Roxy girl when I was called away on a trip with little notice. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a sitter.
Lauren has watched my dogs for me while I’ve been away on vacation and done a great job. Always responsible and trustworthy. She provides updates and communication without prompting. I will definitely ask her to watch my dogs the next time I have plans to be away.

Lauren has watched my pets (I have a dog and a cat) for me multiple times and it’s always gone very well. My dog is very reactive and not easily accustomed to strangers but has always loved Lauren. Lauren is patient, attentive and always has a good attitude towards the animals. She is great about checking in while she’s there to make sure everything is as it should be. I’ve always felt very comfortable leaving my animals in her care.
Dixie and I love Lauren. I was just watching a tik tox where a dog walker left a dog behind at the beach. Poor thing was so scared. And I said. Well I never have to worry about that. 1 because we don’t have any beaches around and 2 Lauren would never forget Dixie. She lets me know how she did on her walk and when she gets back with her. Dixie just adores her. Thanks Lauren for taking such good care of my fur baby.
Lauren has been the greatest with my "daughter" Yolo. Lauren is always showing Yolo affection by giving her all the pets she could ever ask for (and that's a lot btw). She gives me updates if she sees Yolo struggling during her walks more than usual because of her arthritis and never forgets giving Yolo her walking medicine. She's genuinely kind and loves doing what she does. I wouldn't trust my girl with anyone else

Schedule
I currently work as an RN in adolescent psych which takes me away from home all day Sunday-Tuesday so unfortunately those days are unavailable. Otherwise I do pick up overtime here and there so I’m best to cover for one-off needs or a vacation. When I am off of work I can be flexible and I will work with you to accommodate your pets needs.

- Please ensure to communicate any special needs your dog may have or information about your home or pet that I should be aware of. For example it is important to know if your dog is aggressive towards other animals or if they have certain triggers such as some animals being aggressive with men versus women. It's also good to know if your pet has any specific likes such as a favorite toy or an area they seem to enjoy most for a walk.
