Pet care experience

I’ve been caring for animals most of my life — from my own cats to neighborhood pets, shelter animals, and dogs at my current daycare job. I’m also studying to become a veterinary technician, so I’m comfortable with both everyday care and pets who need a little extra attention. My experience includes: • Administering medications (oral, topical, basic eye/ear drops) • Caring for senior pets with mobility needs or special routines • Working with puppies and kittens (crate training, potty schedules, socialization) • Reading body language and adjusting care for shy, anxious, or high-energy pets • Providing daily enrichment, structure, and calm companionship

Lauren was absolutely amazing with Robin! From the moment I left, she kept me updated every single day, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She was always communicative, responsive, and quick to answer any questions or messages. One thing I especially appreciated was how many photos and updates she sent of Robin’s daily activities. It was clear that Robin was happy, well cared for, and receiving lots of attention and affection. Lauren genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in the level of care, dedication, and professionalism she brings to her work. I was able to fully relax and enjoy my vacation knowing that Robin was in such good hands. I highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and reliable pet sitter. I would absolutely leave Robin in her care again without hesitation. Thank you, Lauren, for taking such wonderful care of my furry family member!

I recently booked with this sitter based off previous reviews. She was great the day of drop, once we left town she contacted us saying that she would no longer able to watch our dog due to her cats and because she had an accident in the house. Mind you, prior I stated my dog has had no interactions with cats so I wasn’t sure how she’d be around them. Proceeded to tell me she will keep her cats separated. She stated our dog didn’t like her cats and it was an issue— But supposedly told Rovers customer service other variety of unspecified reasons, like having long nails. So what was it? She knew we were going to be out of town, on a vacation and dealing with this was very annoying to say the least. We then had to scramble to find another sitter and pay out of pocket again while dealing with the daily activities on our trip. She was able to drop off our dog after 10 PM, stated she didn’t feed our dog. Which is VERY concerning and sad!!! The people she dropped them to said she took our dogs things out her car and sat them on the ground and never offered to help bring the items to them. This whole experience turned out to be a bigger hassle and nightmare. Makes me never want to book on Rover again.
