I've never owned a dog, however I've grown up around them with friends and family members owning multiple dogs at one time. My aunt always had three or more dogs at one time which I helped to care for, ranging from giving medications to feeding to playing in the yard. I worked at a pet store for over 5 years where we were trained in nutrition as well as some behavioral signs. During my time at the pet store, I met someone who was looking for a sitter for their 10 month old alaskan malamute. I was offered the opportunity to watch her multiple times over the course of a year and a half which I took her on many hikes, beach trips, car rides, barn adventures, and spoiled her with toys and love. My boyfriend has a lab/dane/pointer who I take out for "mother-son" dates where we go for an outdoor adventure than reward with a pup cup. I've been working as an Animal Care Technician at a veterinary clinic for almost 2 years now where I care for patients before, during, and after their procedures ensuring they receive the best care and love during their stay at the clinic.
