I Care for Your Dog Like You Do!
I've always loved animals, and I've been taking care of dogs and pets for as long as I can remember. I am currently a veterinary assistant working part time, so in my job as you can imagine I acquired a lot of experience handling dogs in all kinds, and It taught me to be really calm and patient, especially with senior dogs or ones that need a gentler approach. I'm really hands on and I pay attention to the little things like how a dog's feeling, what they need to feel safe and comfortable. I don't just pop in and out. I like to really be there for the dog, give them time, space, or cuddles (whatever they're into). I've taken care of reactive dogs before, and I have a soft spot for big breeds. I used to pet sit the neighbourhood dogs and cats, and the occasional small pet! I genuinely care and treat every dog as my own and try my best to give them a great experience. One interesting bit of experience I'd like to add is, I recently spent a month in egypt feeding stray cats and dogs. This really tested my ability to read dog body language and when you're dealing with street animals you really need to know what you're doing as sometimes they can be unpredictable and dangerous. I believe this really contributes to my knowledge and experience with both dogs AND cats as they are very similar, but also very different from your beloved pets!

Lauren was great, Cara really enjoyed her walks. Lauren followed my instructions, was patient with Cara and everything went to plan. I would highly recommend Lauren.
Lauren was so kind and loving towards Niko. She sent photos and updates through out the day and made sure he was comfortable. She followed my instructions for care and this was my first time using a sitter from Rover, I was really nervous as my cat is still a kitten and this was his first time going to another person's house to live and be looked after for a little bit. But Lauren constantly reassured me and her experience with her own pets but my mind at ease. Niko Is very shy and nervous when he first meets people or other animals Lauren has a cat and a pretty big doggo but they are really well behaved and Lauren reassured me that her dog and cat were super chill. Niko came back unharmed and just the way I dropped him so if you are nervous about the other pets there is nothing to be concerned about. Also Lauren provided the litter which was much appreciated because my litter box is huge and heavy traveling back and forth with it is annoying and more work. If you need a pet sitter Lauren is worth it!!!
Lauren has absolutely been amazing. She’s super responsive, she’s great at handling our rottie pup and always sends up post walk updates and photos! Definitely will continue to use Lauren for as long as she’s around!

Schedule
I'm currently employed part time as a veterinary assistant! So I have a decent amount of free time on my hands to dedicate to your buddies and with a genuine love for dogs, I will be happy to love and care for them as I would my own! I am planning in the near future to get a full time job so if you're looking for someone who's very regular at inconsistent times I may not be the best fit, but we can always see if there's a way to work things out

I live in an apartment so boarding will be limited but available assuming your dog is okay with big, unfixed, but friendly male dogs! My dog good with every pup big or small!

A typical day
We live near several large parks that we'll visit for sniffing, throwing balls, or relaxing if your dog likes to just enjoy the breeze and grass! We'll play tug and chase each other around the house!
