My dog, Palatine, gets walked 4x a day (one of these being an hour long walk, the rest of her walks are 5-10 minutes). She’s a puller, so I do well handling a dog that needs more attention on a walk. She now has a special harness to assist with pulling. She also is prey driven, so I am very aware on walks with her, as I would be with your dog, too. I’m more than happy to take your pet on one or more walks to give them the exercise they need.

If they are reactive with other animals (for example, my dog lunges for small animals, so I know to have a tight grip and be aware on walks). If they need any medication while I’m taking care of them. If there’s any special care instructions.
A typical day
I’d love to take your dog on a walk, play with some toys (and make sure they drink enough water), or just give them pets at the house! For walks, I usually go to the Greenway Trail in Raleigh, Fletcher Park (downtown) or to the Art Museum for walks with my dog. I’m open to taking yours where you’re comfortable!

For personal experience, I’ve grown up with three dogs my entire life; a Chocolate Lab, a Cane Corso and a Shiloh Shepherd. I actively engaged in their training and in taking care of them along with my parents. In college, I helped train my friend’s dog, an Australian Shepherd/Lab mix, and currently take him out to the dog park twice a week. As of February 2022, I adopted my own dog, Palatine, from Saving Grace in Raleigh. Since then, I’ve been diligent with her training. I love watching her progress, and even though it does take a lot of patience and consistency, it’s been more than worth it. As for professional experience, for the past few years I have pet/house sat for a family in Clayton for anywhere between 7-10 days. This family has three dogs and two cats, so I am comfortable with several animals in one location. I watch my friend’s cat for anywhere between 2-5 days when they are out of town. And finally, I of course have experience here on Rover with a variety of pets!

Lauren is the best!! She is so good with both of my dogs. I feel so much better knowing they are getting exercise during the day and are in great hands! Highly recommend Lauren.
Lauren is always so great with my Simba and sends so many pictures of him being happy. Recently he got off leash and decided he wanted to play games instead of listening unfortunately and she handled It calmly and got It all under control and taken care of quickly while I was on an airplane and flying home.
Absolutely the best! We have a Cane Corso, and I was concerned about the size. Lauren grew up with Corsos, so I felt confident. Brecklyn absolutely loved Lauren from the beginning. Lauren was fabulous on communication with me from before we left, while we weee gone and even after. Will definitely use Lauren for future dog walking/watching needs!
