I've cared for animals my entire life, including dogs, cats, tortoises, and fish, and have experience pet sitting overnight for many families. I'm especially passionate about caring for senior pets and those with physical disabilities. I've cared for two elderly dogs with mobility challenges, including one who lost the use of their back legs and needed assistance getting around and going outside. I understand that these pets require extra patience, gentleness, and individualized care, and I'm committed to making them feel safe and comfortable while you're away. I also volunteered for two years at a cat shelter, where I fed cats, deep-cleaned kennels and litter boxes, monitored their health, and administered medications according to their care plans. I also have experience giving medications to dogs. While I'm not a certified trainer, I've trained my own dogs and know how important consistency is. I'm happy to follow your pet's established commands, routines, and house rules to help them feel secure and maintain good habits. Living in Arizona has made me very flexible with schedules, including early morning or late evening walks during the summer heat. Above all, I know pets are family, and I treat every animal in my care with the same patience, compassion, and attention I'd want for my own.

I believe the best pet care starts with keeping your pet's routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow your feeding schedule, walking routine, medication instructions, and any household rules or commands your pet is already familiar with so they feel comfortable while you're away. Whether I'm caring for a playful puppy, an independent cat, or a senior pet who needs extra assistance, I always prioritize their safety, comfort, and well-being. I'm attentive to changes in behavior, make sure fresh water is always available, and provide plenty of affection while respecting each pet's individual personality and boundaries. I also know how important communication is when someone else is caring for your pet. I'm happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

We couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter! She is incredibly attentive, follows every instruction carefully, and genuinely loves spending time with our pets. Our Goldens adore her, whether she’s playing endless games of fetch or taking them for a swim, and she gives our cat the same thoughtful care. She always keeps the litter box clean and makes sure he has fresh water, especially after the dogs have turned their bowl murky. She also takes wonderful care of our home, cleaning up after herself and leaving everything neat and tidy. We have complete peace of mind knowing our pets and home are in such capable, caring hands, and we highly recommend her!
Lauren is a fantastic pet and house sitter. She has taken care of our two cats and our desert tortoise when my husband and I have been on vacation. Lauren goes the extra mile by sending us photos and updates regularly. Knowing that our animals are kept on their schedules and are well tended to gives us peace of mind, allowing us to relax. She has experience giving cats medications and even helped teach us how to clip their nails. My cats love Lauren and will always come out for a cuddle when she comes by - one doesn't come out for any guests except for her. She quickly responds to texts when we have any questions about pets or home.
We have had the great privilege of having Lauren L. Come into our home and take care of our two dogs and two cats. It is wonderful to be able to go on vacation with your family and not have to worry at all about your four legged family members. Lauren has watched our pets on several occasions for a week at a time. She met with us beforehand, stayed in our home on one of our trips and checked on the dogs on our other trip. She worked with our older dog at the end of her life and our rambunctious puppies at the start of their lives. She understands their quirks and meets the individual needs of each pet. She even tackled walking our two puppies together which is a challenging task. I trust Lauren with my home and with my sweet babies. Your pets will be loved and in good hands with Lauren.

Schedule
During the summer, I have open availability and can provide overnight care any day of the week. During the academic year, I'm also available for overnight house sitting. As a graduate student, I attend classes Tuesday through Thursday, but I stay overnight in your home and return as soon as my classes are finished. My class schedule is consistent each week, so you'll always know when I'll be away and when I'll be back. I'm fully available Friday through Monday. I'm happy to discuss your pet's needs to make sure my schedule is a good fit.
