Pet care experience
I have always loved the company of animals, favouring it over other humans. As a child growing up i've had creatures big and small, from dogs to chickens, hamsters to horses. Currently, I have 2 cats who are 16 years young. I have lots of experience caring for animals and have volunteered in an animal hospital so I have experience in restraining animals and administering medications. In 2022, I was lucky enough to volunteer abroad in Greece at a cat sanctuary, where we captured and released/rescued stray, injured and vulnerable cats and cared for them in a live in sanctuary until they found new homes. I also spent a month in Croatia working at a dog hotel, assessing the temperament of new arrivals before introducing them into suitable packs as well as a lot of play, feeding, cleaning and exercise. I have a BSc (hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare. During my degree, I studied modules in animal behaviour and cognition, animal welfare science and protection, nutrition and health and disease. I also completed various field work including dog, cat and equine first aid and bandaging as well as training and behaviour classes.
Reviews
Ria loved having Lauren over to play. We look forward to the next time x
Lauren was really good with Indie. She walked her for 30 minutes as booked and let me know when she picked her up and dropped her off. Will book Lauren again. Thank you!
Lauren was superb sitting our puppy. First time he’s been left overnight and she was excellent. Sat up with him whilst he got to sleep and lots of playing / making him happy and comfortable. Looked after the house well and followed all our instructions to the letter. Totally recommend Lauren to all pet parents.
Lauren looked after my cat for two weeks while I was on holiday. Despite my cat being timid and shy, Lauren took extra care to make them feel comfortable. Regular updates and a calm approach showed genuine dedication. I highly recommend this sitter for their attentiveness and professionalism.

I currently can not have pets boarding in my home as I have 2 senior cats who would not appreciate the disruption. Their peace is my peace. Before agreeing to care for your pet, I would like to meet you both to ensure I am the correct fit. I expect a list of instructions to be drafted up, including: meal times, their daily routine, any behaviours to note (recall issues, separation anxiety, aggression), whether they can be let off the lead, any medications etc. I will follow your instructions and preferences to ensure your pet is safe, relaxed and cared for at all times. I understand that pets are family and should be treated as such. I am DBS checked in my current role.
Information Lauren L. would like to know about your pet
Once we have arranged a meet and greet, I will ask you to complete a form with relevant questions regarding your pet and the service I am providing.
A typical day
I am just starting out in my dog walking / pet sitting full time career so i can’t really describe a typical day as they all vary. Lots of walks to different surrounding parks depending on the dogs energy levels, lots of cuddles and strokes (if the like that) and any enrichment to keep them occupied and stimulated.
