I work in education, so my schedule is very flexible in the late afternoon/evenings, as well as on weekends! I'm a very active person and have a high energy husky myself, so I love opportunities to be outside and spend time with pets!

Being a dog owner myself, I am very careful to make sure the pets in my care are safe and well-taken care of. I provide careful supervision, as well as check for any hazards in the environment (i.e. items in the home dogs like to chew, other dogs out on walks, etc.). I also provide frequent updates to clients with pictures of their pets and reach out if any concerns arise.

I have experience walking and caring for high energy and reactive dogs, as well as puppies. At an initial meet and greet, I always ask about a dog's personality, any behaviors to be aware of, any triggers that lead to reactivity, and what the pet owner finds works best when caring for their pet. I also like to ask about communication preferences (i.e. frequency of updates), as well as any pet medical needs.
A typical day
I love to take the dogs I care for on walks to the park so that they can get both physical exercise and mental stimulation through sniffing. For both cats and dogs, I love to get out any toys they have and play with them!

Pet care experience
I have pet sat for thirteen years, taking care of large and small dogs, indoor and outdoor cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens, and fish. I also have cared for puppies and kittens! I have experience in overnight stays, daily check ins, and dog walking. I grew up with Scottish Terriers and Maine Coon Cats and am now a mom to an 1 year old Husky. I also have extensive experience taking care of pet owners' gardens while they are away and am happy to look after your plants or yard. I also run and am happy to take your dog on a run if they require more exercise than a standard walk provides.
