Trust and safety are my top priorities. When entering your home, I always create a calm and trusting environment by introducing myself slowly and letting your pet set the pace. I'll make sure doors and gates are secure before taking your dog out. I'm careful to respect your home as well- I always clean up after playtime, wipe paws if needed, and follow any instructions you leave for me.

It's always helpful to know any relevant behavioral tendencies, quirks, or preferences your pet has, so I can meet their needs accordingly. And of course any allergies or medications that they are taking, and any special tending they might need.
A typical day
I'm open to however your pet wants to spend our time. If your pet needs rambunctious play time, we'll head to the nearest park and run around. If they like long walks, lets go. If they want snuggles and company- I can provide that too!

I grew up in an animal-loving family, and more recently I've adopted my own Dachshund Mix, Nacho. I have 4 years of experience with a private pet-care company in Seattle, where I dog-walked and house-sat for all different breeds and ages of dogs and cats alike. I just recently moved to Brigantine and am looking to establish my Rover presence! I am keenly aware of the bond between pet and owner- they truly are family to us, and it can be scary to let someone else step in. I make sure that when I am with your loved one, I care for them as if they're my own family, too :)

Lauren house sat for 9 days and took excellent care of my rabbit, cat and dog. She became fast friends with my nervous, reactive dog and I think Lilly misses her now that the stay is over. She did whatever it took to get Lilly outside time in the aftermath of a snow storm including shoveling a walkway for her to potty and taking her to the beach (her favorite place) even though it was cold. Lauren was even willing to run one of the pets to the vet when he became sick but luckily that ended up being unnecessary. At times I was hard to reach - being out of the country but Lauren was patient with me and handled it all. Its not easy to leave your pets in someone else's care but I don't have to worry anymore as long as Lauren is willing to sit for me. I will book her for some additional dog walks soon so Lilly gets to spend time with her.

Great experience with Lauren walking my female dog who is nervous around new people. My dog left a little uneasy and returned from the walk super excited and comfortable, with her tail wagging. Lauren took a few pictures for me to see how she was doing and since I was home working, I saw how happy she was when they returned. I scheduled more walks and will use Lauren's overnight pet sitting service as well.
Lauren has watched my dog Django numerous times, and I’ve always felt completely comfortable leaving him in her care. She’s energetic, attentive, and a very responsible human. One of the added bonuses was that Django got along great with her dog Nacho, which made every stay even better. I highly recommend Lauren to anyone looking for a reliable and caring sitter!
