I bring over 10 years of hands-on experience working with animals in homes, shelters, and boarding facilities. I'm skilled in administering oral and injectable medications and handling pets with behavioral or medical challenges—including food aggression, fear-based reactivity, heartworms, and FIV/FELV+. I’ve worked with animals across all life stages, from newborns to seniors, and across all sizes—from small pets to 100+ lb dogs. I also have experience with basic obedience training, crate training, and loose leash walking. In addition to dogs and cats, I'm happy to care for small mammals like guinea pigs and rabbits, as well as fish, amphibians, and small reptiles. I’m confident, calm, and capable—even in stressful situations—and I always prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being.

I do my best to maintain your pet’s normal routine—whether that means scheduled feedings, walks, playtime, or medication. I take the time to learn about your pet’s preferences, quirks, and needs so I can provide personalized care that helps them feel safe and happy while you’re away. I’m tidy, respectful of your space, and always keep you updated with photos and messages. Your pets will always be treated with the same level of care and attention I'd give my own.

Lauren was super responsive to special needs/requests for our petsitting situation. We came home to a clean & tidy house and happy & healthy pets. I was concerned from the videos I received of my cat enjoying Lauren’s company that she might have decided to go home with Lauren!

Lauren did fantastic with our two pets. She sent us multiple great pictures every time she came to visit them and they seemed very happy. Couldn't have asked for a better person to take care of them while we were away.
Cannot say enough wonderful things about Lauren!! She went above and beyond for our 2 kitties while we were gone for a week. If you own cats, you know how dismissive they can be when it comes to strangers. Lauren quickly became accepted by our girls and successfully broke down the Stranger Danger wall. She sent pics and videos, brought in all the mail that wasn’t supposed to be delivered and graciously cleaned up after the inevitable, retaliatory cat barfs that occurred. Having Lauren as our kitty sitter relieved us of the tremendous amount of stress we get when we’re away on travel. We will absolutely be booking with her again whenever possible. Thank you, Lauren! You’re the best!!!

Dates de la garde
I currently work part-time, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I’m available mornings, evenings, and most weekends, and I’m more than happy to care for pets on days I work—I can do visits before and after my shift. My current hours are typically Mondays from 8:30am-5pm, Wednesdays from 11:30am-8pm, and Thursdays from 10:30am-7pm. I also work either the second or third weekend of each month (Saturday 8:30–5, Sunday 12:30–5). I prefer clients located in the medical district or Hampton Cove area, especially for weekday bookings, but I’m happy to travel farther when needed!
