Pet care experience

Open hearts & home (We're insured!)

We're Lauren and Tom ☺️ Known as the resident dog sitters at work, we're keen to open our home and lives to your special pup! We're happy to talk, show you our home and discuss your dog's needs to make sure we're all the most prepared and comfortable as we can be as you consider letting your dog holiday with us. Obviously we will do everything to ensure a plain sailing stay, if an accident does happen, it might be reassuring for you to know that we have insurance for dog sitting, dog walking, transportation, public liability and vet fees for incidents (should they be our fault).

Lauren and her partner, Tom, were brilliant with my Staffy. They were very welcoming and accommodating and clearly love dogs. Their property is very dog-friendly and I had great peace of mind knowing she was in safe hands. I’m thrilled to have found them and will hopefully be rebooking in the future! Thanks

Our girl stayed with Lauren and Tom for a night and they were great with care, communication and exercise. Cesski is not always the easiest dog to manage if you don't know her but we much appreciate you looking after her

Schedule

We work full time in the week, so we only offer boarding from late Friday afternoon to late Sunday evening. Our intention would be that your dog comes along for all of our weekend activities, so long as they're happy and able to do so. They might venture to the local with us, come out for a jog if they can, for a mooch to a market, but they'd also get their walk and sniff time so we're all ready to enjoy blankets and Netflix later in the evening!

Safety, trust & environment

Our back garden is enclosed and we are close to plenty of open green spaces. It would be our preference to keep your dog on a lead whilst they are with us, if they are used to being off the lead, and have impressive recall, then we'd be happy to work with you and them to make sure we are all comfortable to consider off lead elements of walks in familiar areas. We would not board, or sit, dogs from other households whilst your dog is in our care. We would ask your pooch to sleep downstairs, and we are happy to work with dogs used to being in a crate if this is your preference - we have a perfect cozy little spot for beds and crates!

A typical day

We'll be up and out for a walk before breakfast and our activity for the day, whether that be heading out for a walk and pub lunch, visiting friends, or carrying out a little (seemingly never ending!) DIY at home. If it's hot, we won't be going anywhere in the daytime, walks will be either early morning or late evening. In the meantime, we'll do lots of stimulating games in the house - hunt the treat, snuffle matt time, some trick practice, perfecting our Beyonce hair infront of the fan, chilled lickimats etc etc!

I am experienced with raw feeding. Please let us know what your pooch does and does not like - are they possessive with toys or food? How are they passing other dogs on a walk? Do we need to cross the road and give them some space? Are they happy coming along for an evening tipple at our local or do they prefer lots of open space? Do they have any allergies? Are there certain treats I cannot give them? Are they allowed a little bit of human food or a strict no? Anything you know about the personality of your pooch would be great to help us all make their and our experience the most positive it can be ☺️
