My name is Lauren and I'm the proud owner of OrangeStar Pet Care. OrangeStar Pet Care is both licensed and insured! My Story: I'm an Army veteran who managed automotive logistics for over 15 years in the private sector and I began my journey as a pet care professional because I wanted a career experience where I could connect with people on a more personal level and have a less formal work space. My main focus has been to give pets the same care they receive when they're in their family's care while providing exeptional customer service. I am proud to say our specialty is keeping pet's routine as routine as possible unless the family requests a more adventurous experience. Punctuality is a top priority! I regularly talk to pets I care for out loud just like I talk to friends and family. I have focused on the ability to understand how pets communicate and express their needs. Pets will tell you exactly what they need or want if you just look and listen. Some are more subtle than others. That type of experience is priceless and a "must have" tool for anyone who cares for your pet... just like the way you care! I've been getting a lot of questions about pricing with Rover recently so I'd like to address this openly for better transparency. Here is a breakdown of how payments and pricing work. I will use house sitting as an example. My asking price - $125/night Rover charges me a fee of 20% ($25) Rover charges you a fee of 11% (+$13.75) You pay $138.75 I receive $100 Rover receives $38.75 Dog walks and Drop-in visits begin at $15 per 10 minute visit in the Tericho Heights area of Bunker Hill, WV and increase in price based on distance, exact location, and care needs. Please reach out to me for a quote so we can discuss your specific needs individually. :) We have experience with birds, fish, guinea pigs, rats, mice, rabbits, lizards, tortoises, snakes, tarantulas, cats, dogs, chickens, ducks, goats, cows, and horses. OrangeStar Pet Care has networked with other pet care business owners and pet care professionals in the area. If I do not have the availability in my schedule to help with your request personally, I can refer you to another vetted pet care professional, so, be sure to reach out so we can discuss what you need! We are looking forward to hearing from you! We have schedule flexibility so please don't hesitate to reach out if you need last minute or unexpected care. We always treat your pets and your home as we treat our own! Our care team is trained to observe security protocol and pay special attention to anything that may be out of the ordinary during a visit with your pet or your home and communicate that to you immediately. We include an entire check sheet of bonuses for clients that book overnight!

Lauren was absolutely incredible, and I truly couldn’t have asked for a better house sitter. She took amazing care of my two dogs and my cat, and I never once worried while I was away. She spent plenty of time with them each day, so I knew they weren’t being left alone for long periods, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about their well-being. She followed every instruction I left for her carefully and was incredibly attentive to all of their needs. One thing that really stood out was how thoughtful and communicative she was—not only did she keep me updated, but she also stayed in touch with my mom throughout the week so we both knew everything was going smoothly. Coming home, my pets were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for, and my home was just as I left it. Lauren is responsible, trustworthy, compassionate, and went above and beyond in every way. I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone looking for someone to care for their pets and home. Five stars isn’t enough!

Lauren was excellent! We initially did a meet and greet and I felt very comfortable with her. She ended up watching our cat for a week while we were away on vacation. She did a great job! She checked in with me every day and provided pictures and feedback. I will be using Lauren in the future anytime I need pet sitting.

Miss Lauren has been amazing with my baby boys and brought ease to my mind while away on business. My furbabies were well taken care of and took to her very easily which brought me so much joy!!! She is my lifesaver and will furever be our go to caretaker!!!!!!
