I’m currently home in Santa Clarita for the summer after recently graduating from the University of Kentucky, and I’ll be continuing my master’s program this fall. I’m looking to help families with vacation care, drop-ins, walks, date nights, and other pet care needs throughout the summer. Aside from a few planned trips to visit family, I have a very open and flexible schedule and am happy to work closely with owners to find times and routines that work best for everyone. I’m extremely attentive, reliable, and quick to respond to messages, so communication and scheduling updates will always be a priority for me.

Creating a safe, calm, and comfortable environment for pets is extremely important to me. I understand that every animal has different boundaries, personalities, and comfort levels, especially cats who may be cautious around new people or changes in their environment. I always take the time to respect those boundaries, move at the pet’s pace, and help them feel as secure and comfortable as possible while in my care. My goal is for every pet to feel seen, cared for, and safe throughout each visit. I’m also very attentive to owner instructions and understand how important consistency is for pets and their routines. Whether it involves feeding instructions, medication schedules, locking doors, checking gates, maintaining a specific home setup, or following detailed care preferences, I always make it a priority to carefully follow every instruction given. I genuinely want both pets and owners to feel fully comfortable, respected, and confident while their pets are in my care.

I understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, personalities, allergies, and comfort levels, and I’m more than happy to accommodate any special instructions or care requests during visits. Whether a pet requires extra patience, specific feeding routines, medications, mobility support, or simply a calmer approach, I will always go out of my way to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. My goal is for owners to feel completely confident and reassured knowing their pets are receiving attentive, loving, and individualized care while they’re away.
A typical day
I absolutely love keeping pets active, engaged, and entertained in ways that match their personality and comfort level. With cats, I enjoy interactive play using string toys, springs, paper balls, teaser toys, hide-and-seek games, and other enrichment activities that encourage their natural curiosity and hunting instincts. I also love creating calm, stimulating environments where cats can safely relax, look outside, watch birds, and feel comfortable in their space. For dogs, I enjoy active play and exercise such as walks, playing outside in secure fenced areas, trips to parks, fetch, enrichment toys, and other activities that help keep them happy, stimulated, and well cared for. I always tailor activities to each pet’s energy level, personality, and owner preferences to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved.

I’ve watched Lauren own 5 different cats over the years, and she is truly the sweetest cat mom. Her late cat, Saturn, absolutely adored her, and it was obvious she gave him the happiest, most loving life possible. She now has two new kittens and it’s been so impressive seeing how well she’s trained and cared for them already. They’re comfortable in cars, planes, and new environments because of the time and patience she puts into them.
