I can stay home all day if needed, and have a fairly flexible schedule at the moment. I live in a small home with my boyfriend, we don't have any pets of our own, unfortunately, but that works out for any situation where your prefer your baby to be the only one in the house! We have a fenced in yard and front deck that gets lots of use. I enjoy hiking/camping trips so if that's something your pups' enjoy, I'd love to take them for an adventure! (:

As mentioned before, our home has a fenced in yard as well as a deck outside our front door that is also fenced in. The fence is about as high as it can be without a permit in Denver. ~4 ft. at lowest due to the added deck and around 6ft at the highest point. I have a doggy door on my front door that your pup can use, if they know how to, to let themselves out. I will follow them outside but it allows them to initiate when they'd like to go outside without having my front door open! We're a 15 minute walk to Washington park with plenty of nice walking spots within the neighborhood. I love hearing special quirks or needs your furry friend may have and am quick to help out and accommodate as much as I can. I also have an area in my home to set up with a kennel, bed, or any toys your pet may bring with them.

Information Lauren G. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know any special needs or quirks your pup may have as I believe it's important to keep them happy and stress-free! I have experience administering medications and senior/puppy care (any dog that might need extra attention or training). I don't have any preferences or restrictions regarding breeds, sizes, although we prefer dogs that don't shed heavily as my boyfriend doesn't do well with fur. During boardings, if I am planning on taking in pups from different homes, I try to pair them with same size and age groups and confirming with pet parents before booking. This may lead to me only being able to take in small dogs or large dogs for a period of time. I've handled many situations including, but not limited to, safely retrieving an off leash dog, breaking up a multiple-dog fight, and containing large reactive dogs. Although, it would be very helpful to know any triggers or the reactivity of your pup before working with them! Disclaimers: Let me know if it’s your first time booking in rover so that I can offer you a discount code! • I book based on a first-come, first-serve basis. - I prefer to meet before booking to make sure your pup and I are a good fit. In cases we schedule your meet and greet far in advance from your booking dates, and you do not confirm your booking with me, spots may fill up as time passes. *I may offer a temporary hold but if you don't reach out to me about booking within a reasonable time frame, I will move forward with filling the spot.* • I take in a maximum number of 3 dogs at a time as I live in a smaller home and like to be able to give lots of attention to everyone. • No call/no show for drop off or pick up's; Rover is contacted, for drop-offs any later than 30 minutes we may need to reschedule a different drop off time, there's also a possibility of your booking being cancelled. • No call/no show meet and greets 15+ minutes; May need to reschedule. I understand life happens but please do your best to communicate with me and I will do my best to work with you! Lastly, if you chose me to be your pup's new home away from home and feel inclined to leave a review, it would be much appreciated as it helps me out a lot without any cost from you. Thank you for reading a bit about me and what my home and I have to offer! (:
A typical day
I pay attention to your pet's needs and wants, I understand each one is different! Keeping that in mind, I try to stimulate dogs that have high energy and need different types of enrichment by letting them take in lots of new smells, offering puzzle toys, longer walks, as well as taking it easy with older dogs if needed. I always keep stock of enrichment toys, regular toys, and single ingredient treats for any pups staying with me!

Pet care experience
Hi there! My name is Lauren, and I'd love the chance to care for your baby. I've been working with dogs professionally for almost 3 years now and I'm often updating my knowledge about dog care through this job. I have a selection of community toys, treat toys, treats, bowls, etc. and even extra crates so you don't have to worry about forgetting anything! I am very good at reading dogs' social cues and that has helped me tremendously with making pups as comfortable as they can be here. I am currently enrolled in 3 classes this semester that are completely remote and so I am a full time sitter and am almost always at home! I have a fenced in yard and deck, lots of photos and videos to be captured and sent, and lots of love to give. As for my personality, I'm very agreeable and honest, I love photography, movies, motorcycles and the outdoors. During meet and greets and throughout your pups' stay, I can match your communication style, from thoughtful conversations and stories to just quick updates and chats. Although, I may come off as shy initially 😅 NOTE: Please read my disclaimers at the bottom before requesting! I have around 3 years of experience working on other pet caregiver apps. This has allowed me to gain experience working with all types breeds and personalities. I am well versed with puppy/dog training and can accommodate any special commands or needs your pet might have, including using an e-collar. I am certified to give medicine to any dogs that may need it. I have also worked with horses most of my life, and became a horse trainer who taught kids' lessons! I will admit, senior dogs are my favorite to care for, they hold a special place in my heart! I love giving them the extra care and love they may need.

Reviews

Lauren did a fantastic job taking care of Rio - she was a great communicator and sent me many photos daily during my two week trip away. Very professional and kind. Highly recommend!

Lauren was the best! It was our first time boarding our dog, and Lauren was super understanding and communicative. We really appreciate how much care and attention she gave our sweet Moo.

Gary had a great time at Lauren‘s house for his overnight stay. Lauren was communicative and prompt in her responses and sent me many photos and videos of Gary having a good time during his stat. I would highly recommend Lauren for anyone wanting a safe, reliable and communicative dog watcher.

Lauren was great! It was our pups first Rover and he was obviously very nervous - he’s always been super skittish around strangers. Lauren did a great job making sure he was comfy and sent tons of updates throughout the day. By the end Kirby was feeling much more comfortable and they became best cuddle buddies!
