I am a teacher, so I have summers completely off, and I get home early on school days. I am already a very active person who goes outside to run or walk every day, so adding in your dog is perfect and enjoyable for both of us! I typically go for a run/workout for about 2 hours in the morning in the summers, but am free to be with your dog the rest of the day (Updated: May/June 2026)

Located in New Albany/Westerville area. While I live in an apartment, we have 2 dog parks, lots of open grass, and I am always looking for an excuse to go to the 6 minute drive park with a dog walking trail near me or one near you. Your pet would love it! I am willing to do a meet & greet ahead of time. For safety reasons, I am only willing to care for 1 dog (or 2 from the same family) at a time. I am happy to send several updates/photos per day as you desire to confirm your pet’s health and happiness.

A typical day
In the summer, I get up around 6 every morning, so I can take a dog out or for a walk early in the morning. I help with a local running team, so I usually go to practice for about 1.5 hours around 7:45. I am home the rest of the day studying (I am in online grad school) or working on assignments for my next school year (I am a teacher). I love to take breaks inbetween assignments to play or go outside with your dog. In the evening, I am typically home. 1-2 times a week I leave for about 2.5 hours to see friends. I can assure you I would take your dog out before and after I am home! I tend to go to sleep around 10. If you book early enough, I also try to avoid going out in the evening if I know I am dog sitting.

I grew up with a large golden retriever and small mixed terrier for 10+ years until I went to college. I have just graduated college. I am not able to get a pet of my own yet, but I would love to help you with yours. I LOVE dogs. I have a huge heart and lots of patience for any breed. (Updated: May/June 2026)

Lauren was available last minute to check in and let our pups out! The dogs both respond well to her and we feel comfortable knowing she is there!
Lauren took great care of our dogs and was prompt with communication. We felt very comfortable with her and were able to enjoy our weekend away without worrying about our dogs. She kept the house very tidy and our dogs seemed relaxed when we returned. We plan to reach out again in the future when we need a dogsitter!
Lauren was absolutely wonderful! I recently had to travel to welcome my first grandchild, and leaving my dog Roxie behind was tough but Lauren made the entire experience stress free. She was flexible, kind, and incredibly communicative, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. I could tell Roxie was well cared for and loved, and I’m so grateful to have found someone so trustworthy. Highly recommend Lauren if you’re looking for someone who treats your pet like family!
