Pet care experience

A Home Away From Home

Hi there! I’m Lauren, and for me, pet care isn't just a service... it’s a lifelong passion. With 30 years of experience in the animal world, I know that every pet has a unique personality, a favorite way to play, and a specific routine that makes them feel safe. When your pet stays with me, they aren't just 'a guest' they are part of my family. I live with my Australian Cattle Dog, Spooky, and we love welcoming new friends into our home. Whether your companion needs extra snuggles, help sticking to a specific medication schedule, or a patient friend to help them adjust, I am here to provide consistent, loving, and reliable care. I treat every animal as if they were my own, ensuring their stay is filled with comfort, playtime, and plenty of affection.

Lauren is a caring, responsible, and trustworthy pet lover who treats animals with genuine love and patience. She is especially devoted to her own dog, Spooky, and understands how important routine, safety, attention, and affection are for pets. She is gentle, reliable, and attentive, and I would feel comfortable trusting her to care for my pet. Any pet in Lauren’s care would be treated like family.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home, which allows me to be with pets throughout the day and provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship. I’m able to plan my schedule around walks, feeding, potty breaks, playtime, check ins, and rest time. I understand that pets feel safest with consistency, so I do my best to follow each owner’s routine closely and make sure their pet feels comfortable, loved, and cared for while they are away.

Safety, trust & environment

I care for pets by creating a calm, safe, and loving environment where they feel comfortable and supervised. Since I work from home, I’m able to keep a close eye on pets throughout the day and provide regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, meals, and companionship. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully, including feeding routines, medication needs, leash rules, crate preferences, and any special care notes. In a client’s home, I respect their space and make sure their pet’s routine stays as normal and stress-free as possible. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and cared for like they are my own.

Pets

A typical day

Because I work from home, your pet will have constant supervision and companionship. Our days are designed around your pet’s needs, not a rigid clock! A typical day includes: Morning: A refreshing walk or playtime in our fenced yard to start the day right. Mid-day: Plenty of 'office hours' your pet can lounge by my side while I work, with frequent breaks for belly rubs and fresh water. Afternoon: Personalized activity, whether that’s a game of fetch, a practice session for basic commands, or a quiet cuddle. Evening: A relaxing wind down routine to ensure they feel safe and sleepy before bedtime. I prioritize maintaining the routine you have at home to keep your pet’s transition as stress free as possible.

Before caring for a pet, I like to know their normal routine, feeding schedule, potty schedule, energy level, favorite activities, and any special needs. It’s also important for me to know about medications, allergies, anxiety, reactivity, fears, crate training, leash habits, and how they do around other dogs or people. I want every pet to feel safe and comfortable, so the more I know about their personality and routine, the better care I can provide.
