Trying to Reach 1 Million Steps
Did you know the average person takes about 1 million steps every year walking their dogs? Living in a pet-free apartment, I’m going to need some help reaching that! From growing up with adopted dogs and barn cats to caring for show horses and cows on the farm, animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up in a small town, and my upbringing gave me hands-on experience with animals of all sizes, teaching me responsibility and compassion. As a former competitive horseback rider, I’ve also developed a deep understanding of animal behavior and the bond we share with them. On top of that, I’ve volunteered at shelters to walk dogs and helped with treatments at horse rehabilitation centers. Since moving to San Francisco, animals have been missing from my life, and I’d love the opportunity to spend quality time with your furry friend! Whether it’s walks, playtime, or cuddles, I’ll treat your pet like family while helping us both reach 1 million steps this year :)

Lauren checked in on my cat Karen at a last minute request for a long weekend. She was quick to respond and remained responsive during her care with her written updates on the Rover card. I would definitely book again!

I cannot recommend Lauren enough for pet sitting! She has cared for my cat, Weezy, on multiple occasions and always goes above and beyond to ensure she’s well cared for. As a veterinary student, I’m very particular about who I trust with my pets, and Lauren consistently exceeds my expectations. She’s attentive, reliable, and has a deep love for animals, which is evident in how happy and relaxed Weezy is when I return. Lauren makes being away from Weezy so much less stressful, knowing she’s in such capable hands. If you’re looking for someone to treat your pets like family, Lauren is the perfect choice!
Lauren is truly an animal lover. She took care of my terrier-mix (Mox) for many years, and he adored her. And he was not the friendliest dog so I was impressed! He was a rescue with a bit of a sad past, but she was so patient and never discouraged by his quirks (like barking at the TV every time there was another dog on screen!). She's taken him for walks, checked in on him if I was gone all day, and has stayed with him on weekends when I wasn't home. I never had any issues and she was a great communicator, providing updates at least daily with adorable photos. Would certainly recommend for all your pet needs!
