I volunteered and fostered dogs, cats and rabbits for the Houston SPCA for 4 years. I have been in the tv/film industry since 2019 but enjoy sharing my passion for animals when I can between jobs. I am a freelance artist so sometimes Ill have days or weeks available to be at home and help others. I am close to the plaza and also available to drop-in for hotel visits if you are simply coming to Santa Fe for vacation (happy to give dining and recreational referrals as well).

I’m great at following instructions so as long as your animals have a regular routine, I am happy to follow those guidelines. Otherwise I am happy to take them outside or play with them inside the home depending on weather and safety.

Lauren was so great and professional! She set up a meet-and-greet for both her and I and her and the dogs which I really respected. She always responded timely and even sent me tons of pictures to help me feel better about leaving my dogs. I know for a fact my dogs loved her because the day she left, I found one of my dogs sleeping in the bed she stayed in! I will definitely be contacting Lauren again to watch my dogs.
I was impressed by Lauren's wanting to meet my pets beforehand. She got to know them and vice-versa. One is an "elder" and requires medication so she was very focused on the dosing and administration. We will definitely use her again!

Getting care for my dogs is usually the most stressful and expensive part of my vacation, but with Lauren it was neither. My dogs love her and didn't tackle me with desperation when I returned. I feel like I get more than I pay for when I book Lauren to walk or watch them, which is so great that I might actually get out of town a little more often now. She's very friendly and personable to people, too! Most importantly, she's extremely reliable. She's very upfront about any potential scheduling conflicts. I get the impression she's the kind of person to under-promise and over-deliver so that there's little chance of miscommunication when it comes to four-legged family. We only had time to meet her once before I left town on a short trip, but I felt totally comfortable leaving her the keys to my home. AND she's a lifesaver. My flight home was delayed indefinitely and she responded asap from work to let me know she'd be able to add an additional walk that night. It was a priceless feeling to not have to worry about my dogs while I was trapped in an airport out of state. If you have the chance to book her before her schedule starts to fill up with regulars, do it!
Fantastic sitter who was very invested in keeping me updated and was super kind with my dog! Would definitely recommend using again!
