Availability

I’m currently studying, but my timetable is rather short. I have some availability every day, and some days I am fully available! I can also provide morning dog walks before lectures, as well as on my way home or later evenings. I really enjoy going for walks and exploring nature, which has been part of my routine for many years now with my family dog before moving, so I would really both enjoy, and always have time for both animals and walks!

Safety, trust & environment

I would ensure my flat is dog safe, tidy and clean; no medication or food lying around! I would follow any information provided by the owner to ensure I am always meeting both the owner and pets needs, ensuring both safety and peace of mind! As for sitting at an owner’s home, I would follow any house rules set, and ensure the home is exactly how they left it, and leave the property with both themselves and their pet is happy!

Information Lauren C. would like to know about your pet

I have no preferences for breeds etc, since having a long history of personal experience with a dog with particular behaviours and triggers, I am able to allocate for the indivisible dog’s needs and behaviour if aware. However I would like as much information as possible ahead of time, such as how the dog is with people, other dogs, any potential behavioural triggers, dietary or training information, any medical issues or medication, feeding times, and just what the dog loves or dislikes in general! As for the owner’s walking preferences.

A typical day

I’d bring any of your pet’s favourite toys for our walk, and treats (if allowed and as and when!), explore the area and play. Along with walking somewhere quiet and rural if your pet prefers not to socialise- all depending on the dog’s needs! I do love beaches, so it would be lovely to take dogs there for walks, or on some peaceful forest walks.

Pet care experience

I’ve taken care of cats all of my life, and have a rescued Bichon Frisé along with two cats, for the last 7 years. I supported him with training, and taught him a few tricks myself. Before my university start, I would walk him every morning with another dog owner, and go for coffee which I really enjoyed and will miss a lot whilst completing my studies! He has particular needs, medication and some trauma responses; I am rather familiar with unpredictable or reactive dogs, and dogs that have a vendetta against cyclists and joggers for example! He is a white dog, whom happens to enjoy rolling around in the sunshine so I would also would bathe him a lot (he doesn’t enjoy water much either!). Alongside this I am exceptionally familiar with socialising dogs, including anxious dogs or dogs that have not yet been socialised, playing with them, and receiving lots of furry cuddles! I have taken care of families of dogs with litters, for example an American Akita, French bulldog, and an English bulldog. All along side 2 large litters of newborn puppies. I have a lot of experience with shy and anxious cats. I’m very much the sitter that will have you surprised when your reserved cat is affectionate! I also have experience with kittens, cats with additional needs, senior and reactive cats.

Lauren made sure that Maldwyn was looked after and allowed his comfort break in the garden. The original plan was for a walk however given the weather that day I suggested to drop in on him instead and make sure his needs were met and he was comfortable before leaving him. Can't ask for better.

Stepped in at super late notice and was willing to travel and look after our new rescue pup for a long day. Cannot thank Lauren enough for keeping him company and sending me updates which eased my anxiety having left him for the first time. Would absolutely book again

Lauren did a great job looking after my 2 cats on a housesit. Winnie is young and rambunctious and Zara is a calm senior so their needs are quite different and both were cared for perfectly. Great communication and flat looks perfect. Would book again anytime!
