Availability
I currently work full time so I am available after or before business hours during the weekdays (8am-5pm, Monday-Friday) or anytime on the weekends to walk, visit with or house/dog sit. I currently WFH on Fridays, so my house/dog sitting is limited to Friday - Sunday. I can commute from anywhere in the metro Albany or Saratoga Springs, NY region so dog walking and/or drop-in visits are posible any day, most weeks.

I will do my best to make your dog feel like nothing has changed in their own space (your home). On walks and during play visits, I will make sure they are comfortable, constantly watching body language for anxiety, fear, and exhaustion, etc. and will let their behavior dictate the pace, duration, where we go, and when bathroom breaks are needed. I treat walk and play time as their time and I am just there to make sure they have the most enjoyable time possible, while protecting their safety and health.

Please let me know of any dietary restrictions, exercise requirements, bathroom schedule/needs or other specific requirements your dogs has. I typically request a written list for house sitters of at a minimum: typical routine (food, water, bathroom walks, playtime), emergency medications, favorite toys/likes and disk likes, and (happy) behavior (how the dogs behave for you, so I can make sure they are happy).
A typical day
I love to make your dog happy and we will make sure to go on plenty of adventures whether that’s a walk in a brand new part of town with new smells, a long hike with lots of cool shady spots and a neat swimming area or checking out the local park. Whatever your dogs activity level is, I will make sure they are fully engaged and happy: playing lots of games, hanging out together on (or not on) the coach and just make sure they have plenty of head scratches and belly rubs!

Pet care experience
My grandfather and mother both have an animal science background so I was raised with a knowledge of animals and how special they are from a very early age. Because of this, I care deeply for the well being of your pet and treat them as my own. I think animals reflect the best of human behavior. I believe that animals have an innate power to heal and connect that is awe-inspiring. This ability I witnessed first hand growing up with a golden retriever and a German shepherd, the later becoming a therapy dog and certified pet partner for my family. Lastly, I have taken care of dogs of all ages and breeds from 1 month to 16 years, from 15-130+lbs, and done some by house sitting, walking, and boarding. I love all dogs, but am partial to bigger ones because that it was I grew up with since age 10.

Lauren was absolutely great with our two young labs. She provided great communication, lots of photos, and followed instructions to a T. They can be a bit hesitant with new people, especially at home, but Lauren really made them feel comfortable. Thank you!
Lauren is a kind and loving pet sitter. She is provided exercise, extra love, hugs, and belly scratches for our two dogs (65 lb & 110 lb). Lauren also house sat for us. She respected our rules and home and didn't leave a single dish in the sink or food on the counter when we arrived home. She even called to ask if she had time to give the dogs one more walk before we came home so they would be a little calmer when we arrived. We highly recommend Lauren as a pet and/or house sitter.
Lauren is a dedicated and caring dog walker. She is also reliable and a great communicator. She really loves dogs and goes above and beyond to make sure they’re happy and safe. Highly recommended.
