Animal lover & rescue enthusiast 🫶
I have lifelong experience with animals of various kinds, from dogs, cats, birds, hamsters… grew up in an animal loving home. Over the last decade, I’ve volunteered and fostered from rescues. I’ve fostered ~10 stray puppies and found them homes, not including 2 litters of 3. I’ve fostered ~15 litters of kittens and found them homes. Working at rescues gave me mandatory training courses and skills in handling dogs or skittish behavior. I plan to work at a local rescue in October once re-opened. My family has a 10yr old Labradoodle, Brody. My love for cats grew more with my past roommate’s cat, and I cared for him every weekend she was away and would be home with him all day. I’m still designated babysitter. My love for animals runs deep and as I couldn’t rip my family’s dog from my mother’s arms when I moved, I have to get my animal fix other ways. I’m incredibly responsible, trustworthy and kind.

Lauren was not only attentive, flexible, and friendly with me, but obviously my dog. Prior to dropping off, she inquired about questions that weren’t identified in my profile about my dog and added questions for ensuring my dog was taken care of to the maximum. She sent photos to me as requested in my preferences and was a pleasure to deal with. I wanted my dog taken care of with ease so I included written instructions and she was very appreciative of it. Dropping her off, Lauren was excited meeting my dog and upon picking her up, said goodbye and updated me further and had to give her goodbye pets. Lauren is an animal lover and cares about taking your pet in and making them and you feel comfortable. I highly recommend Lauren and will request her care for my dog when needed.
We only needed pet sitting for a few hours, and Lauren was really great. Very responsive, and dogs seemed relaxed and happy when we collected them.

Lauren took such good care of Dexter! She took him for two long walks and let him out for frequent potty breaks. She sent regular updates and pictures throughout the day. Dexter came home happy and tired from his busy day with Lauren. We will be using Lauren in the future!

Schedule
I have a remote job with a flexible schedule. Meetings usually take place between 9-12PM only M-Th; Friday no meetings. Weeks vary as I may be available 8-12pm but just need a heads up on preferred time / temp of day. There are a few consecutive days of the month where I travel, but scheduled for remainder of year. Travel plans on weekends are common, but there are weekends I can plan ahead for or Sundays I can make adjustments for only with a 2-week notice in advance and a 1-week cancelation policy if needed for Saturday and Sunday. Tuesday - Thursday late mornings to evenings are guaranteed availability with notice.

Safety, trust & environment
I am remote so I am home constantly and will provide lots of attention, pets, care and exercise dependent on request. I live in a very nice, safe dog friendly apartment complex with a fenced dog park and lush gardens with a walking path only accessible for residents. My patio is large with a fence. My place is clean, orderly and has hard wood floors with extra floor space for crates. If needed to visit client’s home, I’m respectful and trustworthy and like to keep my place and others clean.
A typical day
I love walks and walks just got better with a furry buddy! Outside of a walk, I can throw a ball at a local park or dog friendly beach nearby. I can even let them swim if they enjoy that. My complex has a walking path, dog park and safe neighborhood that’s incredibly dog friendly and lots of bushes/trails/greenery for smelling. My family dog hates walking in the sun or on warm pavement, so I always adjust and try to find shade for animals I care for or have them wear booties. I hate being hot… so I can only imagine how much a furry animal feels in direct sunlight. I’ll always think of the animal before myself.
