Pet care experience

My main experience with dogs comes from looking after my own dog, Stella, who sadly passed away earlier this year. For the last eight years, I was mainly responsible for looking after her while my parents were at work. This included feeding her, keeping her company, taking her for walks and making sure she was happy and well looked after. Towards the end of her life, Stella developed dementia, which also gave me experience with giving medication and recognising when she was unhappy or uncomfortable. I’m a caring and attentive person and genuinely love spending time with dogs, especially going on long walks with them.

Safety, trust & environment
I’m currently living in a student house, so I’m unable to have dogs stay at my home. I’m happy to provide care in your home, where your pet can stay in their own familiar and comfortable environment. I’m also happy to take dogs on walks and make sure they get plenty of attention and care while you’re away.

Schedule
As I’m currently at university, I have a fairly flexible schedule. I’m only in lectures from 1–3pm on Mondays, 9am–3pm on Tuesdays and 9–11am on Fridays, so I’m often available for pet care and walks. If staying overnight, I’d also be able to balance my university work on my laptop while making sure your pet gets plenty of attention and care.
