Pet care fits well into my daily and weekly routine. I work as a researcher with a flexible schedule, which allows me to adjust my time as needed for pet visits, walks, and check-ins. I’m also available on weekends, which gives me additional flexibility for longer stays or more frequent care when needed. I’m able to plan ahead and stay consistent with feeding times, walks, and any special care instructions, making sure pets get reliable attention throughout the day or week.

I provide pet care in a safe and calm environment, and I always prioritize each pet’s comfort and well-being. In my home, I live in an apartment with access to a dog park and I’m also close to other parks nearby, which allows for regular exercise and outdoor time when caring for dogs. I do not currently own any other pets, so animals in my care will not be exposed to other animals in the home. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow all instructions closely and maintain their normal routines to help them feel secure and comfortable in their own space.

Before pet sitting, I like to learn as much as possible about each pet so I can provide the best care and keep their routine consistent. I usually ask about their daily schedule, feeding routine, favorite activities, energy level, temperament, any medical needs or medications, and how they interact with other people or animals. I also like to know about any fears, triggers, behavioral quirks, or house rules, as well as emergency contact and vet information.

I’m comfortable with dogs of all activity levels and love making sure they feel happy, safe, and cared for throughout the day. For active dogs, I enjoy long walks, playtime, outdoor adventures, and games that keep them mentally and physically stimulated. For smaller lap dogs or more relaxed pets, I’m just as happy spending time cuddling, relaxing, and giving them lots of attention and affection. With senior dogs, I focus on gentle walks, comfort, patience, and keeping their routine calm and stress-free. No matter the pet, my goal is to make them feel loved, entertained, and comfortable while you’re away.

I have had pets my entire life and grew up caring for both cats and dogs. I have experience with larger breeds, including German Shepherds and Dobermans, both of which were rescued from shelters. Caring for rescue dogs taught me patience, consistency, and how to help pets feel safe and comfortable in new environments. What sets me apart is that I treat every pet like family. I understand that each animal has their own personality, routines, and comfort levels, and I take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I’m comfortable with active dogs, maintaining feeding and walking schedules, administering basic care, and giving pets the attention they need. I am also comfortable administering oral medication to both cats and dogs.

Lauren did an amazing job caring for my cat, Jon. Right before a week long vacation, Jon was diagnosed with a liver condition that required daily medication. I was overwhelmed, worried about leaving her, and even struggled to give her the medication myself. When Lauren came to meet Jon, they formed an almost instant connection. She understood that Jon was more than a pet, she was family. After seeing how difficult medication time was, Lauren asked to try herself and to my amazement, got Jon to take her pill with ease. She even taught me a technique that made giving medication much easier. Throughout my trip, Lauren sent daily photos and detailed updates on Jon's appetite, energy, mood, and bathroom habits, giving me complete peace of mind. It was clear she cared for Jon as if she were her own. Since then, Lauren is the only person I trust to care for Jon. Jon now happily greets her every visit! If you're looking for someone who will love your pet like family and provide compassionate, attentive care, I can't recommend Lauren highly enough. Thank you for everything you do!
