I’ve taken care of my own personal pets, neighborhood pets, family pets, and when I moved back to Texas 9 years ago I started working in veterinary clinics as I found my passion as a veterinary technician. I work from home, and there is always someone home, so your furbabies will be in safe and loving hands! I am also fear free and cat friendly professional certified, I am knowledgeable with all ages, sizes, most breeds. I can also administer medications, trim toe nails, help out with a basic groom, train younger pets, I am knowledgeable in senior care, palliative care (I was an ICU veterinary technician for years), whatever you may be looking for, feel free to reach out and discuss! Lauren took care of our three cats, bearded dragon, and two dogs. One of our cats takes daily medication, one has cancer, and our dogs are fairly high maintence and energetic. Lauren was super communicative, sent lots of pictures, and put up with my slightly crazy dog owner antics 😅 She stayed at our home for a week and it was just as clean as it was when we left. She followed my booklet of instructions (sorry girl 😅) and was quick to contact me with any questions or problems. I am a nervous freak about leaving my animals and she did a great job. I was at ease with her watching them and 100% will have her back.

Lauren is a natural when it comes to my finicky pets. They are very slow to trust but loved her instantly. She has the biggest heart for animals and is super knowledgeable and reliable. She's been watching my pets for years and I won't trust anyone else with my babies!

I have a free schedule at this time, as I work from home with a flexible schedule so I can accommodate more specialized care for your pets needs. I have my own pets and one with special needs, their care is very important to me, so I know looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable caregiver is important! Look no further (:

Safety, trust & environment
In my own home if your pet is kennel trained, for their own safety at night or while I am gone at work or to the store, they would be safely placed in their kennel to avoid any issues. If they are not kennel trained they will be placed in a separate room without any other animals to avoid any issues. I will be with them as much as possible to ensure they are safe and happy, they’ll get their regular walks, feeding schedule and treats with plenty of play time and toys. At your home I will try my best with my work schedule to adhere to the schedule you leave me for your pets walks, feeding routine, etc. to ensure no additional stress is placed on them with you being gone.

A typical day
I love to get to know the personalities of the pets I watch! I play games with them, find their favorite scratch spots, plenty of outside time to encourage mental stimulation and exercise, and giving their favorite treats or toys to play with. They'll be just as loved and cared for as if they were at home, with the benefit of someone new who doesn't mind throwing the ball 100 times.
