I currently work as an ICU nurse educator for a medical device company, which means I travel all over the west coast most weekdays. On days when I am not travelling, I am typically home working remotely or enjoying a day off. These off days allow me to have full availability and flexibility for pet care. On days when I am looking after your animal, they would receive my full attention and my main task for the day would be caring for them. This includes exercise or walking, sticking to their personalized feeding and pottying schedule, and lots of love and individual attention. I only accept one client at a time, so you can feel at ease that your pets will be the only ones in my home during their stay. I do currently have a foster dog by the name of Rezza (who, let's face it, will probably be a foster fail lol), but having her does not interfere with my ability to leave the house for visits with your pets.

I take pride in having an environment that is conducive to safety and happiness. I have a very extensive fully fenced yard (7 feet high) and an area inside that that has been designated as a dog run with shade and an area for relaxing. There is a water source outside that can be used for baths, play time, and watering, especially given the hot Arizona weather. There are plenty of long paths throughout my neighborhood for walks, and also a great nearby park that I would be happy to take your pup to if okayed by you. Your animal would be treated as my own, with full reign of the house including comfortability on the furniture. I am happy to follow any specific instructions for your animal regarding feeding, toileting, or activity. It is my hope that I am able to gain your trust and confidence that leaves you feeling great about me caring for your animal because I will treat them as if they were my own. To help achieve this, I am more than happy to provide frequent pictures or videos and updates about how your pet is doing. While I am visiting your pet, I also am very careful to maintain the security of your home (ensuring locks are fastened, doors are closed, mail is brought in, etc.). I am also able to help with small tasks, like watering plants or emptying garbage bins, if specifically requested. Lastly, I am able to provide my own transportation to and from visits, so it will be just me entering your space (no extra visitors unless specifically given permission or instructions to do so).

Information Laurel S. would like to know about your pet
The information that I typically gather about your pet is what and how they eat, any medications or supplements they take and how to administer them, their bathroom frequency, how they like to play, and how they like to relax. I also typically ask where you, the owner, may be going so I know how to best contact you if needed (some pet parents are hours ahead or behind my local time, so I am courteous to not contact at odd hours unless there is an emergency).
A typical day
Typical days are whatever your pet normally does. I try to follow their home schedule as best as possible so they feel comfortable and have a sense of familiarity. Although it is not anticipated to be needed, there is a 24 hour vet available within 30 minutes of my home in case of any emergencies.

Pet care experience
As an animal lover, I have been around pets for a majority of my life. This has included my own pets, pets of friends, and pets of neighbors. I am particularly fond of dogs, but am happy to care for other animals as well. As a nurse by profession, I am willing to care for animals that may have special needs such as medication administration and special considerations (joint problems, vision and hearing deficiencies, etc.). I am also conscious of the particular needs of foster and senior pets.

Laurel is always so attentive to my dog. She provides detailed updates and follows all suggestions/directions. She is super reliable and my dog loves having her come by especially on longer trips. She has taken care of my Tobias multiple times now and she is so awesome to work with!
Laurel was a fantastic puppy sitter! She was flexible with drop off and pickup times and my puppy very much enjoyed his time with her. Laurel ensured that my puppy had lots of play time and sent regular updates about how he was doing.
