Safety, trust & environment
I am always meticulous about following instructions and tips given by the owner! For overnight and extended care, I prefer to have instructions written down and to walk through them once with the owner in person. This ensures I can provide care to your pet that won’t disrupt your pet’s normal schedule. It also gives me a chance to clarify anything I might have questions about beforehand. I’m also more than happy to send cute pictures or updates throughout the stay!
Information Laurel M. would like to know about your pet
For all bookings, I do require meeting the pet(s) at least once before finalizing the booking. I like to know what your pet’s temperament and activity level is. It’s also helpful for me to know what motivates them! Also general information that helps is going over eating and walking routines, what their favorite toys or treats are, and if they are social with other people or animals.
A typical day
I’m committed to keeping your dog happy! Walks and checking out all the fun smells in the neighborhood or at a nearby park, playing with their favorite toys, and lots of pets are just some of the options I can offer your four-legged friend. I like to communicate with the owner about what fun activities their pet likes best!

Pet care experience
I’ve always been a fan of animals, and I was lucky enough to have a dog of my own growing up- Mandy was my best friend for 8 years. Since then, I’ve offered my expertise and love for dogs (and cats!) to friends and family both here and abroad! No dog (or cat) is too big or too small. I have taken care of the tiniest of dogs (Bootsy the Chihuahua) and the biggest of dogs (Theo the Kangal Shepherd mix.) I served as a cat socializer volunteer at the Jackson County Animal Shelter while I was completing my undergrad. I prioritize transparency and open communication when supervising other’s loved pets.
Reviews

Always 5 stars for our fave dog sitter Laurel!!

Laurel was so sweet and dog sat for us while we were in Chicago and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and I think Gram would say the same. :)

Laurel is the BEST! My dog always seems so at ease when I get back from trips and I can tell that Laurel cares for her very attentively. Can’t recommend her enough!

Laurel has spoiled my pup and makes going on vacation so stress free!
