Stay-at-Home Mom & Animal Lover
I am a stay-at-home mom to a 6 & 8 year old, so your pup will get lots of love and attention staying at our home! We currently have a 12 lb shih tzu, a 15 lb mixed breed (mostly border collie & shih tzu), & a cat, so my kids know very well how to be gentle with pets and when to give them space. Prior to being a mom, I used to run a non-profit coordinating and providing in-home pet care to elderly & disabled individuals, so I have over a decade of experience working with a variety of pets/owners and their needs. Prior to that, I was a long-time volunteer at the Larimer Humane Society. Your pet will be in good hands in our home, and we'll treat them like part of the family. Your dog would need to be good with kids and other dogs. My cat has the run of the basement with a baby gate up, so that’s not a problem to keep them separated, if needed. Also, my settings say 15 lb dogs or less, but I know plenty of hefty small-breed dogs that are more than 15 lbs! Feel free to still send a request if you have a small breed dog that weighs more than that.

Wow. My dog is having MORE fun at Laurel's house than she does at home. Laurel is an awesome Rover and great person.

Programa
The kids and I are home all day except for short play dates/homeschool group activities and errands here and there, but we can work around your pets needs!

I have a fenced yard with lots of room to run around! We can also take them for walks, as needed! My pups are very playful and love to play chase and wrestle though, so most dogs go home tuckered out, even without a walk 😂 They are welcome to cuddle with us on the couch and can absolutely sleep in the bed, if that's where they would be most comfortable! I have experience and am comfortable with administering all types of medication to your dog too, if needed. I have a gate on my front porch, so there is a double barrier to ensure that dogs will never escape if the door is opened. I also have a double barrier for the back yard- the dogs are welcome to go in and out of my doggie door all day, but the doggie door leads to my deck and a fenced dog run. They only go out into the main part of the fenced yard if I am out there and they are supervised, so you can rest easy that your pup would never have a chance to escape my house!

We are outside in the back yard a lot, and we would love to have your pup come join us to play! They can run around in the grass or lounge on the deck- or we can give them some exercise with a fun game of fetch or a walk around the neighborhood! They’ll get plenty of exercise playing with my pups too!
