Hei! Jeg heter Laureen og bor i Oslo (på Nydalen) med kjæresten min. Jeg kommer fra Frankrike, og snakker fransk og engelsk. Jeg kan norsk, men min muntlige norsk er ikke så bra (ennå!). I have been around animals for my entire life and was incredibly lucky to grow up with guinea pigs, gerbils, a cat and the sweetest dog that got to live with me for more than 17 years. I moved to Norway in July 2025, and I have been wanting since to offer my services to people who require help with their pets in Oslo. I am able to travel within all of zone 1 (Ruter tickets). Naturally, I have a soft spot for older dogs as I know they require patience, care and love! I also have prior dog-sitting experience, both in France and Norway. I am able to care for special-needs dogs regardless of age and will always treat them respectfully. I follow very carefully the instructions of the owner. You will be kept updated with messages/pictures, and can reach me at any time. My usual availability is from Friday to Sunday. But I can work during the week as well. Don't hesitate to send me a request outside my typical schedule!

Lauraen was amazing, she showed up on short notice to take my dog Iris for a walk when I got sick. She was very attentive to the information I gave and Iris seemed really happy and relaxed when she got back from her walk. Will definitely book her again!

Laureen is one of the sweetest and most attentive caretakers of my dog that I have used from Rover. She is very punctual, communicating in advance of her arrival in my home, showed up at the exact time that we had agreed, and sent pictures and reports during her stay. Also, she asked all the right questions about my dog (Benny boxer, who loved her) so that she could have all the necessary information. She also volunteered and insisted to take Benny for an evening stroll, although I said she didn't have to, and that was of really big help to me (and first time I experience such a great initiative without being asked) So Laureen has my warmest recommendations, and I will for sure book her again if she is available, because now I make her even more attractive to others. ☺️
Veldig fornøyd med Laureen. Hun var veldig hyggelig, hadde god kommunikasjon og virket svært kompetent og erfaren. Det føltes trygt å overlate Ole til henne, og hele opplevelsen var veldig god. Anbefales varmt!

Schedule
I am currently a part-time worker. On my days off, I usually spend most of my time at home, drawing and listening to music. Both me and my partner are quiet and gentle. Our appartement is always peaceful, clean and calm. I live by Akerselva and love to walk dogs around the area!

Safety, trust & environment
I always make sure all dangerous substances (such as cleaning products) and items (such as kitchen knives) are out of reach for any animal. I open doors carefully in the presence of animals. I open windows carefully in the presence of cats. If your pet requires medication and I consider that I am not skilled enough to administrate it (injections, for example), I will let you know beforehand. Any medication I administrate to your pet will be tracked and noted down, to ensure there is no mistake. I always keep an eye on the pet I am in charge of and look for any sign of discomfort. If I notice anything that I consider suspicious, you will be contacted immediately. I am always reachable by phone and can send as many updates as you wish. I am respectful of animals and other people's homes, I will follow your rules to the fullest. I do not need much to stay alert. Even if I am required to stay at your home for an extended amount of time (8 hours +), I will remain focused on your pet. And will probably work a bit on my Norwegian from time to time!
A typical day
Inside, I love cuddling with animals. Your pet will receive a lot of love, if they enjoy being petted! If they don't, they can fully relax and do their own thing. I am someone quiet and will always provide a peaceful presence. I am flexible and understand each pet and their own personnality. I will adapt to your pet's likes and dislikes. I can help your dog with tricks and mild behavioral issues (leash-pulling,...). I am not a dog trainer, but have a good understanding of canine education.
