I have been a Rover pet sitter since 2016. I am retired so have lots of time to take care of your pup while you enjoy your vacation time away. The transition from your cozy home to my cozy home will be seamless. My house is small; there are no steps, so it makes it nice for senior dogs as well. I have no pets of my own, so yours will be the center of my attention. I am vitally invested in making your pet comfortable and safe. I keep records of when they eat, poop, pee and play so I don't have to ask a lot of the same questions after the first booking. You will get updates and photos on a regular basis. This is the best job ever!

My yard is small and my patio is fenced in. Your pup will rarely be off leash for its own safety. I like to have written instructions from the owner on the care and feeding of your dog, which I will keep in a large binder for future reference.

Information Lauranne M. would like to know about your pet
Although the majority of my clients are small dogs, I would consider a larger senior dog who has a mellow personality and doesn't care if we don't jog every day. I will get to know your doggie better at our first Meet and Greet. It is very important your dog is housebroken. If I am doing a drop-in visit for your cat, I need to know about access to your home, what is the feeding schedule and other instructions from the owner pertinent to the cat.
A typical day
Depending on the dog, we will play with toys inside the home. We can go on short walks around my neighborhood, always on a leash. I have on occasion taken a dog to my favorite picnic spot at the lake, or if the dog is compatible, to a nursing home to cheer up patients.

Because I have been a Rover pet sitter for 7 years, I do have a lot of repeat clients and am booked months ahead in some cases. I do not want to discourage new clients, so check my calendar often. Some times there are cancellations.
