I am working part time, and have afternoons, evenings and weekends available. I am hoping to build up a regular client base and have more time available soon. I live in a small home so I prefer to take care of your loved ones in your home. I am able to overnight: house-sitting, cleaning, and pet-sitting. I have plenty of time for walks, check-ins, and play-time on the days I am working, and welcome all-day care in your home on my time off.

I am situationally aware and keep an eye on the environment at all times when walking your pup and playing, as well as on any potential escape routes or hazardous items if eaten or drunk. I am very respectful of your pet's space and routine and take my time to sense in to what will make them feel the most loved, the safest, and the most comfortable while you are gone. I am a reliable communicator regarding anything with your home or your pet that would require your attention.

I love to know details about your pet's behavior: what makes them comfortable, what relieves anxiety. I also like to know what games they like to play and how they like to be cuddled, or if they prefer not a lot of touch. For senior pets, I like to know what is normal toileting and eating for them, any areas of pain, and a normal level of activity for them.

I start the day with potty breaks and a meal and any oral medications needed. After that, a good walk and/or play time. Some dogs I've taken care of prefer to eat after they play and I am flexible regarding your pet's needs. I love to know what your pet's favorite games are, so we can play those. Usually lunch comes next, again with any oral medications needed, and then some more play time with cuddles throughout the day. I also make it a point to update you throughout the day. If there's anything special your pet needs in the evening or throughout the day, I'm happy to accommodate.

I've been in love with animals all my life. They were deep childhood friends and I feel a special bond with them. I grew up on a hobby farm and in 4-H. I am now a retired RN, and I'm enjoying being surrounded by animals again. I have taken care of domesticated cats, dogs, rabbits, hamsters and gerbils, guinea pigs, and birds. Any animal needing help or love grabs my heart. It is my goal to give this love to your cherished companion when you are gone. I also know how hard it can be for you to be separated from your pet, and am very conscientious about sending updates, pictures/videos and communicating anything else that needs to be communicated.

Laura is so great with my big, gruff, black kitty, Big Betty. She is patient, sensitive and truly goes above and beyond to make sure that she feels loved and all her needs are met when we are gone. She is very conscientious about giving updates and notifications. I always feel so comfortable leaving her and Laura's capable hands.
I would like to express and share my experience with Laura and a pet sitter who is caring, responsible and dependable in taking care of my pets. Laura is always on time very in tune with my pets needs ! She is great with anything needed as feeding, walking them , playing fetch and if needed keeping their territory clean. I have always felt like my pups were safe and in the best care on Laura’s time . They are well taken care of and she’s always there is something special is needed. I trust her fully and has made it easy for me in knowing she gives it her all in what my pups need while I’m away ! I would highly recommend Laura and there also is a very high level of integrity and respect in the many ways she cares about my dogs and cat . I don’t worry when they are in her care and this is priceless for me and my pets . I can attest to Laura's kindness, compassion and devotion toward both dogs and cats, as I'm sure she would be toward any other pets as well. I've seen her go the extra mile for an ailing dog that wouldn't eat so she would feed her by hand, and give her extra hugs and attention that she needed in her last year. Laura has a very empathetic and kind aura and is one of those people who truly cares about the welfare of animals. And although I don't have any pets at this time if I did I would trust her implicitly with my animals.
Laura took amazing care of my yellow lab, Tucker. He loves attention, but has a lot of anxiety when he's alone. Laura picked up on this the first time she met him and made sure to sense into his space before jumping in to give him attention. They made great friends and he let her give him all the cuddles, playtime and walks he needed to feel secure while I was gone. We are both so grateful!
