I managed a pet sitting service for 4 years with more than 400 clients and owned my own pet sitting service for 2 years, providing above and beyond pet care: dog walking, boarding, overnight house sitting, cat sitting, and other small pet care. I'm trained in insulin injections and skilled at applying ear drops, administering pills, and other basic daily medicinal needs. I also take great pictures of your pets and provide detailed notes while you're away! As a pet owner myself, I know first hand how hard it is to leave your pets at home. If I am to stay at your home, I can also take care of daily house duties like rotating lights, bringing in mail/packages, and watering plants. (I'm a skilled plant owner as well!) I'm trained in pet CPR and first aid and am skilled at recognizing dog behavioral cues. While I'm not a trainer, I'm happy to work with your dog on existing commands and basic commands.

This was my first time hiring Laura for cat sitting. She was great! She checked in on time each day and we loved the photos of our cat Pepper. I highly recommend Laura for cat sitting!
When my cat got an ear infection right before my trip, intrepid Laura came and gave her ear drops twice a day. Laura was quick, gentle, and no-nonsense with the meds, which put my mind at ease! And my other cat, who did not need ear drops, soaked up Laura’s kind attention. I will absolutely look to Laura for cat care in the future!
Laura is fab! Professional, confident, warm, and well loved by my 3 cats. She did a great job managing giving shots and having good judgement around dealing with a sick cat. Bonus cleans up around double cat boxes! I give her my highest recommendation!
Laura was a real pleasure to work with. She was responsive, flexible, experienced and a great communicator. Our cat is a finicky eater and on medication which she handled easily. I appreciated her daily updates and attention to detail. I would not hesitate to use her again. 14/10 – no notes!
Laura is a pro. The cats quickly warmed up to her ( all rescues and 2 usually would take longer). She had to give Insulin shots to one of my cats Coco Chanel and did this with no issues. I would def use her again. I also had to manage a clogged sink issue and cleaning cat boxes. plus nice personality.
Laura was great and my cat Kami was very well taken care of while I was gone!

Schedule
I have a very flexible, remote job and will prioritize your pet and it's needs! I take my own dog for hikes and play dates 3-4 times a week (on top of regular walks!) and look forward to having your dog join our pack!

I have a two dogs of my own and your pup must get along with mine. I do provide a crate should your dog prefer that in my home. We have a fenced in yard for late night outs. We have plenty of toys to share and can easily manage any food resource issues.
Pets
A typical day
Your dog will love to have long walks in yours (or my!) neighborhood with my dogs Panda and Orville. We'll go for at least a mile each walk, but it's frequently closer to 2-3 miles! We also love to frequent Point Isabel and various regional parks in the East Bay or Sonoma coast beaches. If your dog is up for a car ride, they will have a fantastic staycation with us!
