I’ve cared for cats and dogs for friends and family in London, Chicago and now Novato, and I genuinely love having animals around. I’ve looked after up to three dogs at once, including Australian Shepherds, Blue Heelers, puppies and other high-energy dogs, as well as Maine Coon cats. I also have a cat of my own, so I completely understand that every animal has their own personality, routine and quirks! I’m patient, easygoing and very comfortable working with animals who may be nervous, energetic, independent or a little more challenging. I know how stressful it can feel leaving a pet when they aren’t the easiest animal, and my goal is always to make sure they feel safe, happy and cared for while giving their owners peace of mind. I’m a full-time teacher, so I’m usually home by around 4pm on weekdays and have some morning availability depending on my school schedule. I’m also generally very available during school holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, summer and long weekends. I do travel occasionally to visit my family in Ireland, but I’m usually around and happy to work around your plans when I can. I have a separate room where my cat can have her own space, so I’m happy to discuss overnight stays with dogs who are comfortable around cats. If your dog and my cat aren’t a good match, that’s completely okay — I’ll always prioritize everyone’s safety and comfort. I would absolutely love to have a dog of my own one day, but for now pet sitting lets me enjoy spending time with animals while still having the flexibility to travel and visit my family. I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, care, walks, playtime and affection while you’re away.
