Friendly dog playmate & fenced yard
We're Laura and Steve, and we live Minneapolis with our two kids and dog Ralphie. We would love to watch your dog while you're away! We have a fully fenced, private backyard. We love to go on walks around the lake, with lots of tired pup snuggles afterwards. Ralphie is a playful pup who is great with other dogs. Steve and Laura both grew up with dogs, and as adults we have had our own rescue dogs since 2009. In the past, Laura volunteered with a rescue agency, and both have experience administering medication, dealing with dogs with anxiety, seizures, and other medical issues. Our kids are young and used to being around dogs. We ask that your dog also be good around kids and dogs if you consider a stay in our home. We used Rover sitters to care for our dog beginning in 2014, and we have been Rover sitters since 2018. Important note: our house is located on a street with a lot of foot traffic and across from a park. We have lots of windows. For some dogs, this is great - for others, it’s triggering when other dogs go by, leading to a lot of barking and stress for everyone. Please consider this when requesting to book with us. We look forward to hosting your pup!

We have a fenced yard, access to walking trails, extra dog beds, toys, and treats. We are used to welcoming many different types of dogs.

Laura and Steve were the most gracious and caring hosts for my dog Hazel. She had some challenges come up with a preexisting health issue during her stay with them and they took it all in stride. I appreciated their clear and prompt communication and flexibility. I felt reassured that she receiving excellent care. I can’t thank them enough!
Great at communicating, took our puppy for long walks every day. Would recommend and will be using their care again in the future.

Schedule
We both work from home so we are around for your dog most of the time. We go on a several walks each day, and dogs have frequent access to our backyard as well.

- We are happy to schedule a meet and greet at your request. We have young kids, and ask that your dog is not afraid of children if staying in our home. We love all breeds (especially mixes)!
