I currently work in the office four days a week, so I can do pet care before and after my job and on the weekends. I spend time with them on both ends of the visit, making sure that they have what they need and are as comfortable as possible while their humans are gone.

When going into a client's home, I treat it and the animals with respect. Your home is your sanctuary - as well as your pet's - and I would never want to disturb that. If your dog plays with a lot of toys, for example, I tidy those up on my visits. I will adhere to any rules that you set for accessing the house, and above all will make sure that your pet's needs are met. I am in my late 30s, with a graduate degree and a full-time job. I am hardworking, a Bloomington native, and a lifelong pet lover. I strive to give you peace of mind while you are away from your beloved pets.

I would love to know as much as you can tell me about your pet, including how they like to be introduced to new people if they are at all nervous or shy. I would also love to know how they spend more of their time, if there are any triggers for them like thunder or the doorbell ringing, and just generally what makes them the happiest they can be!
A typical day
I love to tailor our fun activities to the specific animal! Some love to play with toys, some love to run around the yard while I'm with them, and others just need lots of cuddles and reassurance. I also love taking dogs on car rides - if they love them! - and for treats if the parents allow. Sometimes we take special trips to the pet store to pick out a new treat or toy.

Pet care experience
We have had family dogs my entire life, so I grew up caring for animals. I love animals so much and appreciate the responsibility that comes with taking care of them. I want all pets to have the best life possible and treat every animal I care for with love and respect. I am often hired by friends and family to care for their pets when they go out of town, and I tailor our activities to the needs of the animals. Some like to play, some prefer to snuggle. I have extensive experience with nervous and shy dogs, including my chihuahua Finn who I adopted a few months ago.

Laura is a true animal lover. She was very responsive to our rambunctious golden retriever. Woody loved her! Laura sent clever notes and pictures while we were out of town. We will definitely have her again!
Laura took great care of my boys while I was out of town, leaving notes with every visit and was quick to respond if anything was needed!
