I got my first dog right out of college and have had 5 resident dogs since then. I have raised dogs from puppies and have cared for dogs through their senior years. I have been a foster for a local rescue for the past 2 years and also serve as an adoption screener working hard to find dogs a loving home. I have fostered puppies to adult dogs, and a variety of breeds and mixes. I feel honored to provide these dogs with a temporary loving and caring home. I am experienced at bathing dogs, trimming their nails, and giving them any oral medication required.

Laura was great from initial phone call to drop off to pick up. She alleviated all our concerns about leaving our 15 year old Jameson with her for the weekend. He can have anxiety issues when separated from us but he quickly became best buds with Laura's dog and we got lots of pictures of them on their frequent hikes. We picked up a very happy and healthy Jameson who gave Laura hugs and kisses before leaving. 5 Stars

Laura was fantastic with Ziggy and Zeke. I’ve never used Rover before or any pet-sitting service so I was nervous about leaving my goobers. But, she took excellent care of them and texted me pictures and updates every day. I will absolutely book with Laura again.
Laura took great care of our pooch while we vacationed for a week in Narragansett. Sent lots of wonderful photos of their daily excursions. Her dog Aria also provided such good company. Will absolutely use her again!
Laura was a great host! Mia had a lovely time and particular enjoyed her long walks thru the woods. Highly recommend, and would book again if we're in the area this time next year.
Laura was fantastic! Not only was she able to watch my dog on short notice, but she brought her on a couple trail walks and my dog loved her husky. Schedule
I work full time but have a very flexible schedule. Some days I go to the office, some days I work from home. I can generally work my schedule around your needs.

Safety, trust & environment
I don't have a fenced in yard but I live on 2 acres of land. I love taking dogs on long walks and live close to various trail walks and the bike path. If I need to leave the house, I will crate dogs if needed or not; it all depends on the care you have already established with your dog. I love having dogs sleep in bed with me and cuddle on the couch. I have twin 17 year old daughters who, when they are home, will happily give your dog attention and love. We recently adopted a dog after losing our German Shepherd over a year ago. Aria is a sweet 1 year old husky who was rescued from Providence, and after fostering her, we couldn't let her go. She gets along well with all dogs she has met.
Pets
A typical day
We will take multiple walks each day - especially trail walks. I will walk your dog on a leash (I have various leashes depending on the dog from 3 feet to 50 feet). My favorite walk has a great place for dogs to swim (if they enjoy that). I will sit outside and play fetch if your dog needs to burn off more energy or simply enjoys playing. This can all be tailored based on your dogs needs - i.e., shorter walks for a senior dog, more playtime for a puppy.
