We’re two sisters, Samantha and Laura Saiter Kleinfield, lifelong New Yorkers and lifelong animal lovers. Samantha has a dog (Josephine or JoJo) currently so I already walk her at least three times a day and exercise her at the dog run, feed her twice daily. My office is a 10 minute walk from my apartment and my sister Laura is often over every day of the week and weekend as needed to take care of the dogs and cat too, she’s been taking care of them since she was a little kid too. We are lifelong dog lovers and have lots of experience training and caretaking. We’ve also grown up caring for cats our entire lives and Samantha currently has a cat of her own, and Laura used to, so we're each very comfortable with everything from playful kittens to more independent or shy adult cats. We have experience with daily feeding routines, litter box maintenance, brushing, nail trims (as tolerated), play and enrichment and exercise, and recognizing subtle behavior or appetite changes that might signal stress or illness. We genuinely love dogs and cats alike and understand that great cat care is about being attentive to dogs and cats' individual personalities, consistency, cleanliness, and respect for their routines.

Samantha has one very friendly dog, most extroverted dog ever and gets along with dogs of all sizes and personalities and shy ones too, to keep your fur baby company. Also have a 7 pound, 1 year old cat named Chloe who has grown up with a dog and gets along. Samantha lives in an apartment with lots of dogs, a dog run a 3 minute walk away at the south street seaport I take my dog Jojo to every day. Apartment is dog and cat proof.. I can easily crate your dog if you supply the crate. Laura can care for dogs too at my apartment or your apartment to stay there and also respects everything in the airport and leaves it cleaner than she found it.

Let us know if your dog or cat has any special needs or behaviors that we need to account for. We sisters Samantha and Laura are fine with all breeds, sizes, personalities, and Samantha's dog Jojo and cat Chloe also get along with all sizes and breeds. JoJo is energy and needs a lot of exercise but can adapt. Laura is always walking dogs almost every day.
A typical day
We sisters Laura and Samantha love animals and bond with them immediately. We are buds. A typical day is centered around keeping pets happy, exercised, and comfortable while sticking closely to their usual routines. For dogs, the day starts with a walk or potty break, followed by breakfast and some relaxed downtime. Depending on each dog’s energy level, we’ll fit in additional walks, outdoor play, or structured playtime throughout the day, plus plenty of affection and supervision. For high-energy dogs, we prioritize longer walks, active play, and mental stimulation. For calmer or senior pets, the focus is on gentle walks, cozy rest time, and calm companionship. If dogs enjoy socializing and it’s a good fit, they can play with our dog Jojo, who is friendly, well-socialized, and used to sharing space with (and helping socialize) other pets. For cats, we follow their preferred routine—feeding, litter box care, and interactive play (wand toys, laser play, or quiet one-on-one time). Laura is attentive to each cat’s personality, whether they want lots of engagement or simply calm company nearby. Throughout the day, Laura and Samantha make sure pets get plenty of attention, enrichment, and rest, and we always communicate and send photo and video updates so owners can see how their pets are doing. Our goal is for every pet to feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away.

We’re two sisters, Samantha and Laura Saiter Kleinfield, lifelong New Yorkers and lifelong animal lovers. We grew up with family dogs and cats and started caring for other people’s pets at a young age. As kids and teens, we volunteered at our local animal shelter—walking dogs, caring for cats, and learning firsthand how to support animals with different temperaments and needs. We’re both experienced dog owners and dog walkers, with hands-on experience training dogs and providing consistent, attentive care for both dogs and cats. Samantha currently has a dog and a cat: Josephine (“Jojo”), a 35-lb Brittany Spaniel (mainly) / Siberian Husky mix rescued from the Southampton Animal Shelter, and Chloe, a 7-lb, 1-year-old cat at home as well. Jojo is friendly (most extroverted dog I've ever seen), playful, and high-energy, but also knows how to relax and settle. She gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and is accustomed to living with a cat. Same for Chloe with dogs! Laura helps regularly and is equally experienced with both dog and cat care. She assists with walks, playtime, feeding, and supervision—especially when Samantha is at work (her office is just a 10-minute walk away). Together, we make sure pets are never left without attention, exercise, or affection. Laura covers the Lower Manhattan area but also lives in the Bronx and can cover that area or Brooklyn too where she works a few days of the week. We treat every pet like family and pride ourselves on being reliable, communicative, and genuinely excited to care for your dog or cat. 🐶🐱

She was late for almost every scheduled walk, which made the service feel unreliable. After the final walk, she accidentally took my keys with her, which was very uncomfortable and created an inconvenience because my family members needed access to them. Although the keys were eventually returned, the overall experience did not give me confidence in the level of reliability or care I expected.
After Samantha and Laura left, I went downstairs and found the backyard door standing open. I have two cats - I can’t imagine what would have happened if I hadn’t gone downstairs. I had also made clear that the backyard door needs to stay closed so that the cats do not get out. I have no idea how long it had been open. There was also what appeared to be an old urine puddle in the bathroom. My dog never pees inside so either she was not taken out for a really long time or it was another dog.
Best sitters!! Samantha and Laura are punctual, through and kind! I trust them with my baby any day!
Samantha was a great sitter! Sent updates and photos. I knew Kennedy was well cared for and loved. Communication, drop off/pick up was smooth & easy.
