I work from home and live an active lifestyle, so I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs, whether that’s walks, outdoor time, play, or simply making sure they feel comfortable and settled at home. Over the past several years, I’ve also helped care for friends’ dogs and assisted neighbors’ dogs with daytime potty breaks and care. While I love puppies, my dog Layla had TPLO knee surgery two years ago and no longer enjoys being around dogs that like to wrestle nonstop, so I currently prefer hosting adult dogs that are well-socialized and comfortable around other dogs. I’ve found that creates the best environment for both guest dogs and Layla. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog, and I aim to make every stay feel safe, comfortable, and personalized. I’m happy to follow routines, provide medication, share updates/photos, and make sure your dog feels at home while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced-in yard for potty breaks and outdoor time, and because I work from home, your dog will get plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. I’m happy to follow your dog’s normal routine, including feeding schedules, medications, walks, crate routines, or any little quirks/preferences they may have. I also like to do meet-and-greets beforehand to make sure everyone feels comfortable and it’s a good fit for both dogs.

Information Laura R. would like to know about your pet

• I currently only host adult and senior dogs • Dogs should be comfortable around another medium/large dog in the home • No dog parks • Fully fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time and play • I work from home most weekdays, so dogs get frequent potty breaks and attention throughout the day • Happy to follow feeding schedules, medication routines, crate routines, and other care instructions • Meet-and-greets preferred before first stays to make sure everyone is comfortable and it’s a good fit

A typical day

On weekdays, I work from home, so the dogs get a lot of attention and outdoor time throughout the day. I usually let them out into the fenced backyard several times during the morning and afternoon for potty breaks, play, sunbathing, or just to sniff around and hang out. Around 3pm, we typically do a longer walk along with some park time for sniffing and running around. We do not go to dog parks. Weekends tend to be a bit more active and usually include 1–2 longer walks, lots of backyard time, and in the summer sometimes hikes or outdoor adventures depending on weather and your dog’s activity level/preferences.

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m Laura, proud dog mom to Layla, my almost 4-year-old rescue lab mix. I adopted her when she was just 4 months old from a Denver brewery. She’s incredibly sweet, active, and full of what I lovingly call “land shark energy,” so my husband and I have spent a lot of time focused on training, structure, and creating a balanced home environment.

Laura is a deeply compassionate and dependable person who consistently puts others before herself. She is incredibly caring, responsible, and attentive, especially when it comes to her dog, whom she lovingly treats like her own child, always ensuring it feels safe, happy, and cared for.
