I also keep the home tidy, including cleaning up after the pet, refreshing the litter box, or doing any other small tasks as needed. It’s important to know a few key things about a pet before caring for them: Routine: What’s their daily schedule like? Keeping consistency helps them feel secure. Health Needs: Any allergies, medical conditions, or medications I need to be aware of? Behavior: Are there any specific likes or dislikes? Any triggers I should avoid, like loud noises or certain types of handling? How reactive are they with new people or animals? Temperament: Are they shy, energetic, or super cuddly? Do they have a history of any type of aggression? This helps me know how to approach them and what type of care they’ll feel comfortable with. Emergency Contacts: Who should I reach out to in case of an emergency?
A typical day
I love making pet care fun and engaging! For dogs, we’ll play fetch or enjoy outdoor walks where I typically like to let them take the lead. By that I mean if they want to stop and sniff to take in their surroundings I allow them to do so. I’m always up for some fun training sessions too—keeping them mentally stimulated! For cats, we’ll have interactive playtime with their toys to keep them active and entertained. If they love cuddles, we’ll also enjoy some quiet bonding time. I adapt activities to each pet's personality and energy level to ensure they have a blast while staying safe and comfortable.

Laura has cared for our pack multiple times and is loved immensely by each one. She stays in our home and we trust her completely with our home and our fur babies. We have some distinct personalities, including reactive bois, and she is great with each one and making sure everyone stays safe. With a boxer, 2 goldens, a golden doodle, and a yorkie, we’ve got a little bit of everything and Laura is an absolute pro. She will always be our go-to for pet care!!
Laura has effectively taken care of my dogs, cats, horses, cows and goat on multiple occasions. She does a wonderful job at keeping you updated throughout the week and sends pictures with her updates. I have known Laura for a very long time and she loves animals with her whole heart and is an excellent pet caregiver.
