Pet care experience
Tails Tales & Trails
I have been a volunteer at the Windham County Humane Society animal shelter, working with the dogs, since the beginning of February, 2023. I am also a foster mom of kittens for the shelter. Prior to this, I used to volunteer back in NY at a Pitbull rescue where I walked the dogs. As well, I used to walk my former bosses dog and leash trained the dog. I have had furbabies of all kinds my whole life, Cats and Dogs were always around when I was growing up, along with periodic Fish, Hamsters, Guinea pigs, Rabbits/Bunnies, Parakeets, Snakes and other Amphibians.

Ratings and reviews
We are incredibly grateful to have found Laura. She arrived exactly on time for both the initial meet-and-greet and the scheduled visit. She genuinely bonded with our dog, playing, giving tons of affection, and making sure they felt safe and loved. It was clear from the photos that our dog was having a fantastic time and was completely at ease. Five stars all around, and I will definitely be booking again!

Laura was great with our cat and dog for a two night stay. We received plenty of updates and felt really comfortable that our pets were being taken care of. We would recommend Laura to anyone.
Love this sitter!!!

Thanks so much!

Laura was wonderful with Poppy! We recently moved to the area and had an unexpected trip come up so were so happy to have found her. She send frequent pictures and kept us up to date on how Poppy was doing with her cats (it seemed to work out okay!!). Laura, thank you so much for your care of our little dog!

Laura was an amazing sitter with our dog. She kept us up to date with pictures, and worked with us during a special day. She also was able to give our dog medication. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely reach out. Thank you so much Laura!

Schedule
My full time job is taking care of your pet, so I have plenty of time to give them the attention they require; however I am very active, but never traveling far from where I reside and will always be close to both mine and your furbaby(s). Rest assured the furbabies (yours and mine) are always #1.

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have 2 cats and a curious one year old kitten to keep your pet company Sadly my senior dog passed away in late July, 2024. I have many crates and sizes, as well, to keep your dog contained and safe, if so preferred, and the means to keep pets separated if need be. I am always very close to home to meet their needs and can adjust my schedule around their care.
Pets
A typical day
Fun walks and hikes in the neighborhood, as well as maybe a run or hike. There are lots of nature trails within walking or driving distance, right by my house to take walks with new smells for your dog to experience. My road is a dirt road, as is most of my neighborhood so traffic is a minimum.

- Let me know if there are special commands or hand signals that should be used; are there certain treats or diet restrictions your dog has? Are there any fears that your pet has; does thunder or fireworks affect your dog? Does your dog chase cars? These are things I'd like to know so that I may be successful and can show and give them the same love and care that you would give them. Some additional thoughts are, is your dog afraid of social atmospheres? Do I have to carry or lift your dog for any reason? Can they do stairs or ride okay in a vehicle?
