Safety, trust & environment

I don’t have a garden but my flat is right by a few greens and a large park is 10mins away. I have no toxic plants for cats or dogs. I’ve cared for senior dogs and cats so am no stranger to a tablet pusher or a secret ham pill roll. Have also cared for cats with asthma and given them inhalers.

Information Laura P. would like to know about your pet

I need to know if your dog is reactive and/or has any history of getting into fights to adjust walking expectations and care I can provide. I’m more oft n than not okay to accept bookings for dogs with reactive tendencies but again, need full transparency and to consider their size and weight before booking.

A typical day

Normally our schedule would be tailored to the dog owners preference but a typical day might look like a pee break in the morning followed by breakfast and some bed lounging, followed by a couple of hours of work with play breaks, a long walk around lunch time, a kong or other engagement game in the afternoon, another walk and dinner before setting into bed.

Pet care experience

I love animals and grew up around dogs, cats, chinchillas, birds and fish! I’ve been in London just over 10 years and just moved to Brighton last summer. I’ve sat dogs and cats for numerous Rover users and friends, and also used to have a neighbour’s cat drop in for visits every day for years before my recent Brighton move. I genuinely want to spend time with animals and would happily walk dogs or drop in to feed/ play with cats in my area. Happy to host pets at my place as. I wouldn’t be comfortable taking in pets from multiple households at the same time as this is largely set up for companionship rather than revenue while my partner and I work our life out to have a pet (or more likely pets) or our own . Can also stay at yours with a bit of an advance notice. I work a nearly fully remote job so am around pretty much all working weeks and most weekends :)

Laura is a wonderful pet sitter. She was so lovely with my rescue dog, Peaches! Peaches felt comfortable with her straight away, and it was clear they'd got on really well. When I got home, she was happy and relaxed. I was so glad to find Laura, especially as she was available at such short notice. It made a stressful situation so much easier. I'd love for Laura to look after Peaches again, and my cat, Sharuka, too! Thank you so much! 😊🩷

My two girls clearly had the best time with Laura and her partner, they didn’t miss us one bit which is great! Shortly after they arrived I received some photos which showed they had settled quickly and made themselves right at home. As soon as I met Laura I was completely confident leaving my dogs in her care. Would thoroughly recommend. We will definitely be back (as long as she will have us 🤣)

Laura was the perfect dogsitter. She communicated with us so well before and during the time that we needed her to house sit Connie - which made us very confident that C was in good hands. Laura is clearly a consummate handler of our beloved four legged friends and I would not hesitate to recommend Laura to anyone needing their dog looked after.
