Pet care experience

Active, home full time, dog lover!

Hello and thank you for considering me to care for your pup! I would love to meet a new furry friend, and my dog Koda would love a new playmate. I know how nerve racking it can be to leave your pet in a stranger’s care, and hope to make you and your dog feel comfortable while you are away. I am home full-time and work remotely. Dogs have access to the whole house, are allowed on furniture, and get to play in the fenced in back yard. We live in a safe neighborhood for daily walks too. I have cared for many dogs of all breeds and sizes, and Koda has gotten along great with all of them. Whether your dog prefers to cuddle up with me, run around with Koda, or enjoy some quiet time on their own, we'll make sure they feel at home. Smaller dog owners, please don't let Koda's size deter you from choosing us! He loves small dogs and does well at following their lead when deciding if/how to play with them. I do require meet & greets at my home (outside) with all potential boarding and day care dogs. Dogs will meet me and Koda to ensure it is a good fit. While I generally keep my schedule open to accept up to 3 dogs (4 including Koda), if you need your dog to be the only Rover dog staying with us, let's discuss options!

Laura was great taking care of Alfie. I got an update every night and Alfie enjoyed his walks, playing fetch, and hanging out with her dog Koda. Would gladly have Alfie stay with her again.

Laura is absolutely amazing!! Great communicator, great care taker, genuinely loves your pet. So grateful to have had her take care of my boy while I was gone for 10 days.

Laura is definitely an experienced and reliable care taker. She knew all the questions to ask to make sure that my dog would be taken care of while I was away. She gave me daily updates of my dog's visit, what my dog spent her time doing, and how she was eating. Chloe loved the backyard to play around in and - from what I saw - made herself right at home. I would happily trust her with my dog again!

Laura and her dog Koda did a great job with the energetic and playful Mr. Darcy. I got consistent and detailed updates and pictures. I think he may even have improved his leash training after his week with Laura, I may need some tips! Would definitely book again

Rook and Harper had a great time with Laura. She was very accommodating and understanding when we had to modify our booking with extra days. She had to deal with extreme heat and noisy fireworks which made the dogs anxious. She kept us informed and provided lots of photos. Unfortunately, we were attending a funeral, so Laura provided peace of mind for us, knowing the dogs were receiving excellent care. Highly recommended! We will definitely book again.

Schedule

I work from home M-F and may have occasional Zoom meetings scheduled during the day. I take frequent breaks from work to walk dogs, take them outside, and give them some attention. While I plan to be with your dog a majority of their stay, I cannot accept any dogs that can't be left alone quietly and calmly for up to 1 hour in case I need to run an errand. Drop-off and pick-up hours are between 8am-8pm. Drop-offs/pick-ups before 8am or after 8pm MAY be doable on a case-by-case basis, with an additional charge. For walks and drop-ins, my daily availability is dependent on my work meeting schedule. Rover only allows blocking entire days, not specific meeting times.

Pets

A typical day

I take my dog and any visiting dogs for multiple walks per day. I am happy to adjust length of walks to meet your pup's need. We spend as much time as possible in the daylight hours outside in the yard. Evenings are for getting lots of cuddles and attention as we wind down for the day. I provide daily updates when dogs are in my care, generally sending the update between 7-8pm each day. Daycare updates/photos are sent with their report card at the end of their stay. I will of course reach out sooner if any questions or concerns come up.
