A typical day
A typical day is unhurried and built around the animal. I like to spend time outside, take nature walks, and have cuddle time. some of my guests want movement, some want closeness, some just want to nap nearby, and I let the day follow that.

I’ve cared for dogs and cats at every stage of life, from puppies and kittens to seniors, starting with volunteering at a veterinary hospital at age 12. We are traveling and the condo in Sky Valley we were staying at does not allow dogs. Our Shadow is 16 yrs old and has never stayed with anyone she didn't already know or for a full week. She was a little nervous when we first arrived but soon calmed down and made herself at home. Laura and family are calm and the home has calming energy. Shadow attached herself to Laura and stayed by her the entire week. We had taken her dog bed and she slept in it right beside Laura's side of the bed. Laura sent daily updates with pictures and it was clear Shadow was at home and comfortable there which allowed us to relax and enjoy our vacation. She even got to do her favorite thing - walking in the creek - while on a nature walk. The funniest thing was, Shadow didn't even get excited to see us when we picked her up!! She watched Laura walk back in her house then just layed down and hung her head down like she was so sad to leave! THAT has never happened before! The few times we ever leave her somewhere, she runs to get in the car and is all over us. LOL. We were SO grateful to find Laura and only wish we could take her back to FL with us!! We will definitely use her again next year if she is still with us. Thank you Laura for loving our sweet girl and making her feel so at home for the week she was with you.
Our senior dog, Maggie, loved her stay with Laura and her family. Laura sent us pictures and kept us informed on how Maggie was doing with her. I would definitely use Laura again! Maggie felt like she was on a vacation!
We feel very comfortable leaving Lainey with Laura. Lainey is pretty timid but seems at home with Laura.
Laura and her family took amazing care of Kiki! We loved the photos and the updates, and we could tell that Kiki had lots of love and companionship with Laura. It was particularly helpful to know that she has experience with loose leash walking. We would highly recommend Laura to anyone!
