I do work full time with a required in-office presence, so I leave home around 6:30 am and return by 3:30 pm. I’m generally more of a homebody - my evenings and weekends are spent reading, watching tv, going for walks, and enjoying the occasional trip to the beach.

Since I am a relatively quiet person, I take pride in creating an environment that is calm and comforting. While being in someone’s home I think it is critical to respect that I’m in someone else’s space, and maintain routines that your pet is used to. I want to ensure that their life is disrupted as little as possible.

A typical day
I want your pet to be happy and content! Whether this means a lazy day where we cuddle on the couch or something active like heading to the beach or hitting a trail. I’m up for whatever they enjoy!

Pet care experience
I’m a lifelong dog owner that absolutely loves animals, and gets so much joy from being around them. I have raised dogs from puppies into their senior years, and also have significant experience with brachycephalic dogs. I’ve owned Frenchies, a Boston and a Boxer, so I’m incredibly familiar with the additional care these breeds might require. From eye drops to ear drops to pills to medicated baths, you can trust that I’ll take care of your pup as if they were my own. My boy, Wilbur, passed away last year and while I’m not ready to get another pet, I’d love to take care of yours.

Laura has cared for my two Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers well over a dozen times. I have a 6 year old boy who can be reactive towards other dogs, people and his older sister. And a 9 year old girl who is nearly deaf. I trust Laura to handle absolutely any situation that might arise. Her skills and understanding of dogs means that when I get home, it’s clear my furbabies have received exceptional care because they show no signs of anxiety or upset. They are relaxed, happy, and chill. Honestly, I think they prefer her to me. I whole heartedly give her a 10 out of 10 recommendation to any pet parents considering her. She will tend to your pets and your home as if it were her own and will follow instructions for your pets’ care to the letter. You will be very happy with your choice!
