I love dogs and cats so much! Over the years I have taken care of many dogs and cats that have special needs, anxiety and / or need to take medication or require special supports. I am very patient, kind and understanding of these situations and love to care for pets that require some extra nurturing. I have cared for dogs that have a range of anxiety and leash aggression. Dogs that require to be picked up and down steps or beds. Pets that are blind, hard of hearing / deaf, or dealing with injuries. I have taken care of aging pets that are sick or may require vet visits while you are gone and I'm comfortable and experienced in following your directions, being on video calls with the vet and implementing the protocols. I’ve loved taking care of Goldendoodles, Gold Retrievers, Labs, an English Bulldog, French Bulldogs, Pitbull, Cockapoo, Schnauzers, Puggle, Boxer, Rescues, etc. & many cats over several years. I’m extremely detail oriented, organized, and am great at following the instructions for caring for pets, feeding, walking, playing with them, etc. I've taken care of dogs that are 2 years old and older, including various senior dogs, as well as kittens and senior cats. I have done over 38 pet sits through Trusted House Sitters. I have glowing 5 / 5 star reviews and I'm happy to share my profile link with you privately (as I can't add a website here). When I have dates available, I typically have to choose between several sits so I've shifted to using Rover more & I am loving it! I have been pet sitting almost full time between these various sites for over 2 years and I am enjoying the opportunity to explore Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. I especially love repeat sits as I quickly fall in love with the pets that I take care of & I love getting to come back over and over again! I love taking care of cats & dogs so much! I had taken care of family and friends dogs for years before I was invited to try Trusted House Sitters. My first dog sit through Trusted House Sitters was with Lola, a French Bulldog and I loved taking care of her & her home in a high rise condo in Vancouver for 3 weeks! I have experience with daily face wipes, eye drops, feedings & walks, as well as using nose butter when needed. Lola had a cyst on her paw a week before my sit started and it burst & was bleeding when I was dog sitting, so I now have experience with staying in contact with the dog owner, updating her with pictures / changes, being a go between with her & the emergency vet, using Pet Uber to get to an Animal Hospital, keeping Lola happy while in the waiting room for hours, etc. I kept the pet parent updated so she could approve treatment. We stayed in contact about Lola & I sent a daily pic or video of her. I have experience giving oral antibiotic medicine with a pill buddy, cleaning the wound with Hibitane & gauze, and putting ProHex ointment on it multiple times daily. During the week Lola was on her antibiotics, she had softer poops so I cleaned the poop off her jacket and ensured her bum was clean. I loved cuddling with Lola all the time, getting lots of kisses, going for walks, and playing with her little tennis balls! I also enjoyed taking great care of Sarah's many plants and home <3 I loved my month long dog, cat, & house sit in Toronto. I walked Mina (Schnauzer) for around 90minutes a day & put her dog boots on when there was salt on the ground. Mina loved sniffing everything and trying to eat food off the street so I became an expert at scanning for potentially interesting things & directing her way from it or telling her “No / Leave It”. We enjoyed cuddling on the couch and playing fetch with her balls or lamb toy. Tigger (the cat) was the sweetest soul and would come cuddle on the couch whenever I was on it and purr & purr & purr! I loved being sandwiched between them both as they snuggled into me for hours! I have experience coordinating with the cleaner & sharing updates while the owner is travelling. They used Pretty Litter so I also shared pictures with the owner when the color wasn’t yellow to monitor the cat’s health. I’ve now sat for this home owner 4 times and have 2 future sits booked. I took care of my friend's Puggle & home for over a week myself & throughout my 3 week vacation in Denver & I loved walking, playing and feeding him! Cuddling in the mornings when he’d get up on my bed was amazing! I’ve taken care of my brother’s cat, Golden Retriever & home on short trips over the years. I love getting lots of love and kisses as soon as I walk through the door <3 While travelling over the past several years I’ve loved caring for various friends’ dogs & I'm a huge cuddler! I have experience cleaning up dog and cat pee when there are accidents. Growing up I had fish for years so I'm experienced with feeding them & have also taken care of them at my friend's home. It's so entertaining watching them swim around :) I also love doing acts of service and enjoy helping out with little projects around the house so that you can come home to a completed project. Some examples of that are organizing, selling an item on Facebook marketplace, getting the Recycling bin lid replaced, mowing the lawn, raking leaves, etc. I am always respectful of the homeowner's wishes & privacy. I'm experienced with shoveling snow, cleaning, filling the bird feeder with seeds, and other special requests. I loved taking care and snuggling with many dogs as I've continued my pet sitting journey around Toronto & the GTA as I get to know the various neighborhoods!
