Pet care experience
Kind, engaging, ready to play
I’ve watched pets as much as I could the last few years, working full time on Rover for a year after college. I graduated from Wheaton with a Christian Formation and Ministry degree a few years ago, and am currently working in marketing! I have experience watching (and living with) dogs as large as a St. Bernard, as well as puppy experience. I’ve loved animals since I was a kid. Growing up I raised 2 litters of kittens until they were adopted, and at one point there were 8 cats in our home! One of my favorite parts of what I do is getting to give pets lots of attention while also spending lots of time outdoors. I have a high value for kindness and positive reinforcement for pets. I have lots of experience with dogs and cats, and am happy to care for other animals as well. I love to stay in contact with owners with updates and questions throughout stays. I look forward to meeting you, and I’m excited to see if I’ll be a good fit for you and the furry members of your family!

Laura did a great job with my two boys, was flexible with my schedule and accommodating to my smaller dog's nervousness. She was prompt at communicating and my dogs seemed to enjoy her visits!

Super sweet and attentive! Had no issues giving our one cat his meds and I felt like all the boys were looked after well. She even got the really shy one to come out and visit which tells me a lot about her character. Will definitely be booking with her for our next trip!

Schedule
I currently work in the office full time during the week, (normal hours) but I will always do my best to fit your pet in! For house sitting requests, please let me know if you’d like me to stay with your pet full time during the day so that I can check my schedule!

Safety, trust & environment
I always keep dogs on a leash on walks, and only let them out off leash if there is a fenced yard. I typically avoid meeting other dogs or people on walks until I’m confident that the dog is ready for it and the owner has given permission.
Pets
A typical day
I love to play fetch, tug of war, or even hide and seek with pups. I love exploring the neighborhood on walks, and if there is a lake or forest preserve, even better!
