Safety, trust & environment
I use a 10-metre training lead with all new dogs while we get to know each other and build trust. If there’s ever any uncertainty, I keep them on the lead to ensure everyone’s safety. Recall is something I consistently work on with every dog I walk. My vehicle is fully set up for safe transport, with secure clips and a dog guard fitted. I understand that joining a new group can feel overwhelming for some dogs, so introductions are handled carefully. I allow them to greet the others while the resident dogs are clipped in, closely monitor body language, and then gradually help them become comfortable with one another during the walk. I always arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand. I’ve never had to turn a dog away and hope I never do. I’m patient, calm, and committed to making each dog feel safe and confident in my care.

Laura is a very experienced dog walker and sitter. She is caring and compassionate with dogs of all sizes and very skilled in handling them. She is a real animal lover and your dog will be in very good hands with her.
Laura's affection for animals and her intuitive understanding of their needs is immediately apparent. We adopted our first dog, a staffie mix who is rather highly-strung and I was nervous about socialising her with other dogs. Laura was immediately forthcoming with guidance and reassurance, based on her own extensive experience, and we even managed to get Rexie playing in the water with the other dogs on their first pack walk. A triumph! Laura is full of common sense, always quick to respond to messages and is unfailingly professional and flexible, happy to respond to our sometimes changeable plans. Highly recommended.
Laura is a lovely person and my German Shepherd Luna loves her! Laura is very good with communication also. She has lots of knowledge about dogs and loves them.
