Empathetic care for your Fur Baby
I have over 20 years of animal care experience. I understand the immeasurable importance of our pets and will do my very best to make sure your fur baby feels loved, comfortable, safe and entertained. A lifetime of pet owning, sitting, experience in veterinary offices and shelters, farm work, Canine Good Citizen certification, therapy dog training, certification and service, and dog and cat fostering has lent me many wonderful memories and experiences to draw from. Employment related to animal care: several wildlife technician positions, several farm animal husbandry jobs, and employment at a large dog daycare. I majored in Animal Science at Cornell University and also took several classes at Cornell’s Vet School. I continue to educate myself on current events in dog and cat health and training. I’ve personally owned several dogs, cats, and chickens and have lived with dozens more. I have experience with horses, cows, sheep and goats. I’ve worked with shy, fearful and dominant dogs. I've worked with friendly and feral cats. I provide owners updates and photos during their pets' time with me. I enjoy providing peace of mind and also getting to know the unique personalities of each animal. Thank you for your time and consideration!

Laura is among the truest of dog lovers and will give genuine appreciation to every detail about your pet and their needs and wishes. She was also wonderfully flexible and fun for us to be with as well! We feel so lucky to have found such a perfect spot for Rosie away from home.

Schedule
I am home all day and have a flexible schedule. I have a large fenced yard set back from the road on several acres. I’m happy to work with your expectations to give your pet a safe and loving experience.

Safety, trust & environment
I allow boarding pets on furniture and give them free range of the house. My calm senior dog can keep your fur baby company, but won’t overwhelm with too much energy. If you prefer, I can also keep my pup separate. I’m happy to follow any safety guidelines you prefer. If you prefer more socialization, I'm happy to bring your dog to the dog park, on hikes, or arrange daycare play groups.

A typical day
I’m an early riser and will keep your dog on the schedule they are accustomed to. I am able to take dogs on hikes, walks, play fetch, visits to the lake or dog park - just let me know which activities you’d prefer!
