Pet care has been my life for many years. Now, my days are spent caring for and training my own animals. We begin our days around 7am and do bedtime breaks just before 11pm.

All dogs that stay with me must be crate trained. I have various sized and styles of crates available. Dogs with stay with me will be taken out at a minimum of every 4 hours during daytime hours. I live on 4.5 rural acres in Rohrersville, MD. I take all dogs out on a collar and long line (up to 50 ft when appropriate) for exercise and allow off leash play when appropriate. I will also do long walks around my property for dogs that do best with regular leash walking. I own dogs of various breeds and sizes and dogs will be allowed to play if deemed appropriate. I run a dog daycare facility that offers group play and am skilled in determining temperament and appropriate play. I have also been training dogs for over 10 years. I offer high level behavior modification training for my business, SNIFFERS Doggie Retreat & Training Center in my home.

I have professionally worked with animals as my career for over 20 years. I have owned a dog daycare, boarding, grooming and training facility in Rockville, MD for 17 years. I am a dog business owner and trainer. Prior to that I worked as an animal keeper and trainer for the National Zoo for 4 years. I grew up on a horse farm and currently own 2 horses. I have pet dogs, chickens and fish. I am very experienced in the animal care field.

I was in need of overnight care for my dog, Greta — a 2.5-year-old beautiful pittie with a few quirks. She’s stubborn and takes some time to warm up to new people, so finding the right caregiver was really important to me. That’s when I found Laura, and how lucky am I? The answer: very lucky! From the start, Laura went above and beyond. When I brought Greta to her home, I explained all of her quirks and needs, and Laura reassured me — multiple times — that Greta would be safe, comfortable, and well cared for. She truly delivered on that promise. Laura provided plenty of mental enrichment to keep Greta busy and engaged, and gave her the chance to explore the great outdoors with all its wonderful smells — she has plenty of land for curious noses! When I returned to pick up Greta, I think she was actually a little disappointed to be leaving the 5-star resort Laura had created for her. I don’t say this lightly, as I’m quite particular about who watches my dog (especially a “weird” one like mine), but I can say with complete confidence that I 100% recommend Laura without hesitation.
